@herbandranch at UCI Research Park is my new favorite spot for an outstanding breakfast burrito, and since Orange County Restaurant Week is going on now through March 9th, it’s the perfect time to stop in and try their outstanding menu by Chef @brianmalarkey and Chef de Cuisine @jramodt I was so impressed with Herb & Ranch Modern Range. It has a beautifully designed atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating; grab a coffee, do some work by yourself, or meet up with friends. You’ve got to check out their menu. Orange County Restaurant Week specials include: -Breakfast Burrito or Caprese Focaccia w/soup $15 (Available all day) -Seared Salmon or Soy Honey Glazed Chicken w/charred broccoli topped with smoked almond and parmesan pesto, and roasted smashed potatoes in brown butter $25 Also check out: ocrestaurantweek.com 📍Herb & Ranch 5301 California Ave. #140 Irvine, CA 92617 Monday-Friday 7:30 am - 3:00 pm #ocworkdayeats #ocrestaurantweek #orangecounty #dining

My husband and I arrived at this restaurant at 2:20pm. The staff told us that they closed at 3:00 and were out of items. It would take 20 minutes to cook a few items. The response was lackluster and I sensed ordering the airline chicken was not preferred because they were closing. The staff were not friendly. I opted for the Salmon with two sides. My sides were cold but supposed to be hot. My seared salmon was tasty until I saw it was entirely raw except for the seared part. I asked the staff if my salmon was supposed to be cooked more. They said no and did not offer to put it back on the grill. I have never eaten salmon so raw except for Sushi. My salmon wasn’t even hot. All the sides were pre-cooked and sitting out. This place appears to have pre-made items and then they are warmed up after ordering. My husband ordered a sandwich which was sitting out already made and they just heated it up. All the reviews stated this food was fresh and hot. Perhaps this may be true if you come early in the day. Beware of coming later in the day as you are getting leftovers from the lunch rush. I expected more from a 4.5 rated restaurant. Our lunch cost 40 dollars but I felt very disappointed. For that price, at least make a fresh sandwich. The restaurant was modern and clean. I liked the idea of the food hall concept with different food stations but this place fell flat for me. The atmosphere was great but I would not ever return due to the food.

I Google search for healthy lunch option in this area. Yes, there were many popped up, but since this place closes at 3pm(I think lunch is served until 2:30), we wanted to go right away. Wow!!! We are so happy we went there. It was very easy to find, and easy to park! All the staff were so kind. The place was very clean and well organized. Surprisingly, it was not loud either. Yes, their Food was wow, too!!! Every bite was so delicious and felt refreshed even after the meal. Thank you for providing a delicious healthy food! We ordered… Lunch(built your own plate): -Seared Salmon w/Citrus Tzatziki, -Spiced Cauliflower w/Sauce Verde, -Autumn Farro Salad. Grains & Greens: -Beets Around The Bush (Fried goat cheese was new for us, but texture was good! And I think it went well with roasted beets and pistachio vinaigrette.) yum! Plus, Boxed Water and Ginger Ale. Our Total $40+ for 2 of us.

I work on the west side of UCI's campus and this restaurant is super convenient. I often go for lunch - good food and ok price. Today I had a busy day. Sign on the door says they close at 3pm. I walk in and go to the end station to get a salad. The person behind the station says "we stop serving at 2:30pm". I was confused because the door on the sign says 3pm. A second worker stated the same thing to me unsolicited. They then say you can go to the cafe and purchase items there. It was 2:38pm. I again ask the young lady at check out and she says "we stop serving food at 2:30pm." I pick up a juice and ask for a cookie. I then say it would be helpful if your sign on the door was accurate. She then gives me an heavy sigh full of attitude. I paused and inquired as to why the poor response and customer service. The tall girl next to her then chimes in and says "we stop serving food at 2:30pm". Now they are both rude and unprofessional. I ask for a manager. They continue with the unprofessional behavior. The manager comes out and I realize that she's the super friendly person who is usually at the counter. I thank her addressing my concerns and decline to purchase anything. While I'm talking the tall worker continues with the under her breath comments and rude behavior. I asked the manager to have her move away from us so that I could continue my conversation with her. I've always enjoyed this restaurant. Not anymore. This entire encounter was so...

This place features several stations offering different cuisines from poke to banh-mi to ancient grain salads. Everything I've had so far has been excellent, but today's review is about the stellar breakfast options.

I had the opportunity to try the breakfast hash bowls. The first was the Bacon hash featuring braised bacon, cauliflower, potato, carrot, parsley, scallion, and a slow-cooked egg. The bacon was cut into thick cubes; chewy with a bit of char. The vegetables were cooked perfectly and were cut into fork-sized pieces that allowed for getting every ingredient in each bite. The skin-on whole potatoes had a nice bite. The egg was rich and creamy, although I would rather it be poached to allow for more yolk to be mixed throughout the bowl. A staff member offered some fresh cracked pepper which was a nice touch.

The Vegetable hash included zucchini, roasted pepper, mushroom, broccoli, kale, pecorino, and the slow-cooked egg. This one's also a keeper. The kale was nice and soft after a sautee with what I believe to be olive oil. The zucchini and broccoli were the perfect texture. I detected a touch of citrus, but that may have been the pecorino. I'll have to ask. Overall the dish was nice and light, but very filling and very good.

Both bowls are made to order so there can be a wait, but at $8 each they're...
