Café Espresso — Restaurant in Irvine

I was visiting from D.C. to check out the University of Irvine and stopped by this café. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The woman working there was not friendly at all—she took orders with an attitude and didn’t respond when I politely asked twice if the order she placed on the table was mine.

The egg and bagel I ordered tasted good, so no complaints there.

Also, I found the prices to be quite high, especially for a café located on a university campus. You’d expect more student-friendly pricing in this...

NEED A BREAK ! I was sitting on a comfy chair in the foyer waiting area for an hour or so today waiting for my wife to be examined upstairs by Dr. E ( Dr. Lilangi Suhadini Ediriwickrema, MD Ophthalmology. It was a follow up check-up after an eye operation a few days ago. Meanwhile I noticed a steady flow of people making a beeline for this little cafe....grabbing coffees, croissants, sandwiches, potato chips and more to go. The sign says they use Peet's Coffee. I didn't need or want a coffee while waiting for my wife....
