Fish that sold me yesterday (09/13/2025) it's not good I paid $48 for two-Elisa $10.99 lb My wife cook it smell like last year fish no test. in grocerie customer service not quick. I think there was so busy. Inside the grocery guys work in there very good people. I was buying from Shalimar qurbani package .I was buying some qurbani meet. call Shalimar store yesterday somebody was answering and he say, your meat is ready by 6:00 pm . I couldn't make it yesterday & I was calling store this morning and say somebody told me it's ready by 6:00 p.m. & guy name Fahim (owner) he say to me nobody from his store tell me about 6:00 p.m. and I just make it up. I tried to remind him why your customer have to make things up but he was talking to me disrespectfully whole time. Some reason he was so disrespectful. He was continuously saying I never call yesterday I'm just making up. I don't know why he said that. I read his customer review with He's customers, anyway when customer go to Shalimar supermarket store avoid this store owner Fahim. All I want my meat, if not ready then I can pick it up later time or date no issue. your customer was asking some information and you store owner was totally rude and disrespectful. wasn't expecting this kind of behavior from store owner. I still like that store product, they have good quality beef mutton chicken and I will go and shop...

I had a very disappointing and upsetting experience at Shalimar. I called in an order late at night for beef, chicken, and ground meat. I informed them I would pick it up after work, which they agreed to. When I got home and opened the packages, I immediately noticed the beef was spoiled - smelly and clearly bad. The chicken was fine, but the beef was absolutely not safe to eat.

Since the store was closed by the time I noticed, I went back the next morning to speak to someone about it. Unfortunately, the situation escalated quickly. The two guys I spoke with(bangladeshi and hyderabadi old guy) refused to exchange the spoiled meat, was extremely rude, and became aggressive. Shockingly, instead of resolving the issue professionally, he called the police and made false claims. I felt threatened and completely disrespected.

This was not just poor customer service - it was an unacceptable and hostile encounter. I cannot in good conscience recommend this place to anyone. If you are looking for quality halal meat and respectful service, I strongly urge you to...

Good Kacchi Biriyani & Great Fish Market ​We recently visited Shalimar Supermarket Cafe and tried their Goat Kacchi Biriyani. They have two options: a Pakistani-style Goat Biriyani ($12.99) and the Bangladeshi-style Goat Kacchi ($14.99), which is what we went for. ​The Kacchi Biriyani itself was good. It wasn't anything spectacular or special, but it was definitely enjoyable and not bad at all. The best part was the portion size—it's very generous. I felt full after eating only about 60% of the serving, so you definitely get your money's worth and will likely have leftovers. ​The atmosphere was kid-friendly, which was a plus. ​A huge bonus is the attached supermarket. After our meal, we did some shopping and bought fish. They have a fantastic selection, especially if you're looking for all kinds of Bangladeshi fish. ​Overall, I'd recommend Shalimar as a solid all-in-one stop.
