At first, I began writing this review as the normal "bad customer service and unfriendly atmosphere" review, but after typing out my thoughts I have found a much more prudent line of thought to give. A line of thought, not to the public to read but for management to read. One that will soon be sent to their franchise owner, and corporate, so they can handle this issue with swift and decisive movements.
Management. Your building's drive through line is made in a dangerous manner. The first and second windows are properly placed, but for the purpose of moving a car forwards from the second window to the third paying customers will find themselves in a precarious situation. It is reasonable to say that a majority of drivers drive sedans, yet this is Irving Texas. People have families, businesses, and trades to which they drive large SUVs, Light to Midsized Trucks, and Delivery Vans. For a sedan to sit at the third window, and any of the above listed that is NOT a sedan to sit at the second window finds themselves unable to leave if the SUV, Truck, or Van at the second window obtains their food before the sedan at the third window.
A paying customer sitting at the third window should not be made to feel the pressure to move forwards from that window to let a truck behind them past, nor should it be the responsibility of the next vehicle to know that the sedan exists so that an accident does not occur as the hypothetical sedan reverses back to the third window.
IF a truck, SUV, or van is sitting at the third window, NO other vehicle will make it to the second window. There is not enough room. This is, as you should know by now as Whataburger has done business in this building many years now, an uncomfortable situation.
Management. Corporate. Franchise Owner. YOU are NOT paying these high school and early college aged employees enough for them to feel pressure when they cannot take orders, or handle business when your Drive Thru policy is failing to be a comfortable situation for paying customers to obtain the food they ordered. The fact that they cop attitudes, stress, and groan when customers decline to move, are agitated by the instructions they were given, and are not getting their food in a timely manner is not their fault. It is MANAGEMENT'S FAULT for pressuring them to do business in a substandard setting, while MANAGEMENT moves paying customers around their drive thru lane or even into the parking lot in order to send corporate false numbers on how quickly an order was completed.
This did not happen with me. I stayed in the second window as the car ahead of me was moved to the third window, and then forward more towards the door as the truck between myself and them turned right to drive around them, and then once more when they were asked to move. I sat. I let the sensor record how long it took me to obtain my food as your staff complained about being unable to do their job and worry about getting into trouble for it. Minimum wage employees are not to be blamed for the failures of their management.
With this review, you are on notice, and I hope that is helpful to all...
Read moreIm not usually out at 3 in the morning parousing fast food joints but for some strange reason I was this morning. I personally love whataburgers onion rings and fried apple pies! In fact they are the only fast food place that I know of that still frys their pies. Everyone else like mcdonalds and burger king bakes theirs. Now dont get me wrong who doesnt love a freshly baked mcdonalds apple pie?! Well...me...well...I dont love them, I do like them, but to me nothing seems to top that freshly fried apple pie either! Even add some vanilla icecream with either one! The good thing about vanilla is she doesnt usually care who she's paired with. She goes great with anyone and everyone! No false pre-tenses there! Anyway so back to my rating, I did only 4 stars bcuz whataburger always seems to have a long line especially late at night or in the middle of the night no matter what location you choose to frequent. Now is this bcuz they are 1 of very few places open at the late hour and 24 hours? But even during the evening hours the lines are long. So im not quite sure what the cause is.......unless its those darn fried apple pies and then if thats the case.....point taken....the people have spoken....i guess whataburger will have to make a national fried apple pie day and on that day either whataburger can only serve apple pies and nothing else or its all you can eat apple pies at reduced price like 2 for a dollar! Actually why don't they ever have a deal where their pies are 2 for $1.00. Now they do have lemon pie, not to minimize the other flavor but im just not entirely sure how the lemon really tastes fried up....but I can only imagine if apple is good then why not lemon too? Anyway all in all except the speed of getting thru the line, my order was correct, my food was hot and fresh, and the employees were helpful and friendly at this location! LisaJ...
Read moreI came in the drive through and asked for a recommendation, in my slight intoxicated state before pounding down a large fry, I changed my order from the recommendation I asked for to get a number three. At this time Fernando had put together my order with out delay with out a stop in communication and fulfilled my order, he not only did that but left me with positive words and a good message that uplifted my spirits while I was at the window paying, after pulling out and stopping to sit in the parking lot to eat some of my food I thought To my self here is a good employ, here is a guy that is here to not only do his job but have customers leave happy and there I was full and happy. I gave him thanks after eating my food and coming in to tell him and management how Awsome he and his demeanor was and how I needed to give him some recognition. Not only that but my food was perfect and management where as spot on as they could be. Can’t wait to see these people go places where ever they go than...
