Clinton Steak & Gyro — Restaurant in Irvington

I've visited this place on multiple occasions, and it wasn't until yesterday that I said I'll never be returning again. I got a breakfast platter with bacon, grits, egg white, toast, and extra bacon. And was charged $17.90. Never in history have I've ever paid this much for a platter. I was on the phone with my aunt after ordering, and she called my uncle, and he stated that he went there as well and ordered 2 breakfast platters and was charged $33 and stated that he wont be returning either. That's insane, and the new prices aren't listed. So you're just left to believe this as being true. The food is good but not that good at this price so I won't be returning...

I came here for an egg and cheese breakfast sandwich I was given a container filled with eggs and cheese with NO BREAD. When I reiterated to the guy and girl behind the counter that I asked for a sandwich, they were incredibly rude, and made it seem like they didn’t understand what I was saying after I already clarified what I wanted in English and Spanish.

Additionally, the whole inside area is boarded up as if they do not want people sitting inside the restaurant. I don’t understand how a restaurant can do business under these conditions.

The food use to be way better. They get it from Costco or even dollar tree, which means you can make it yourself. Also since there's a language barrier you have to be very specific about the way you place your order. My favorite is the pancakes & hot tea . Eggs they don't cook well at all I ask for soft I got wet and undercooked It gets crowded between 6:30- 10 am so call in your food. This is definitely an in and out spot...
