This is without a doubt, the worst hotel I've ever stayed at in my entire life. If you need a comparison, this is that type of hotel that once you step foot into your room, you're going to ask yourself whether or not you should book a place somewhere else because this place is just that bad. I actually had this conversation with my partner once we entered our room. Anyways, here are some of my complaints.
The front desk person was rude and unprofessional and exhibit a "I hate my job" attitude. He was on a personal call while checking me in. Totally, leave me alone attitude. No greeting or hello whatsoever.
The carpet in the entrance and throughout the hallways of the hotel smells like urine and smoke. It is almost unbearable. You're going to be holding your breath throughout the entire walk to your room. The smell in the room is not as bad, but still unpleasant. Needless to say, the carpet are filthy and looks like it needed a deep cleaning over a decade ago. This alone is a deal breaker for most.
The light switches that control all the lights in the room are near the door. There are no light switches near the bed so you'll need to get up and walk to the door to switch off the lights.
The towels are really cheap material and does not dry the body. There are no hooks in the bathroom to hang towels or other accessories. There is no hair dryer, no coffee maker, no microwave, no safe locker.
There is only 1 wall outlet for charging your phone or other electrical devices in the bedroom. Furniture are extremely outdated, old and dirty. It looks worst that donated furniture. It looks like something you see on the side of a curb for trash pickup.
The walls are thin and you can hear when someone is walking or talking outside your door. Extremely noisy at night. During my 3 night stay, there was someone playing really loud music up until 4am in the morning. It wasn't the guests in the room next to mine but instead I think it was coming from above.
The phone doesn't work. The TV freezes on some channels. There is no ice maker or water fountain.
They can only activate one room card at a time. Once they activate a second card, the first card stops working and they weren't able to fix it.
Area does not feel safe. There was always at least 1 person outside, even at 2-3am in the morning, smoking MJ.
Housekeeping staff was extremely rude and once again exhibits the "I hate my job" attitude. When asked for fresh towels, she scowled at us and rudely demanded, "give me your towels," then threw them on the floor, gave us new ones and then walked off annoyed. No other words were exchanged besides "give me your towels."
You might be thinking about staying here because this place is cheaper than other places, but honestly, its not worth it. Spend a bit more and avoid this horrible establishment. A ruined vacation is...
Read moreIf I were able to give absolutely NO stars I would. This hotel is horrible. Not only is the customer service horrible, but the employees are very stereotypical. I went into the “Free Conplimentary breakfast”, started making my waffles and a housekeeper comes up to me out of nowhere with attitude talking about “NO ROOM!!!” Now, there are plenty of signs posted that says no food in the rooms, and of course everyone coming into the cafe sees these signs. I don’t understand why this housekeeper (Hispanic woman) felt the need to tell me no food in my room when I never said anything about bringing food to my food nor did I do any gestures to say I was bringing food to the room. Then, I decide to go to the front desk to make a complaint about the housekeeper and the receptionist (Indian woman) begins to argue with me. Telling me that the housekeeper is right without fully listening to the situation at hand. Now I agree she is right about the policy in which if not all most hotels have, but she was not understanding the fact that I was stereotyped about bringing food to my room. So I ask to speak to a supervisor, when the supposedly “supervisor” comes, I ask her for her name, she tells me “You don’t need my name. Speak to a manager about this situation” and walks away. So now I’m confused, I asked for a supervisor and I get someone who wants to direct me to a manager. Are you a supervisor or not? Are you the one who is suppose to be handle the employee/customer altercations or not? In the customer service world, the customer is stated to always be right, I don’t understand why every employee I spoke with rather of had argued with me than listen to the situation at hand and solve the stereotyped issues. This was my first visit to this hotel. First impressions mean everything, I have always been told. But, I am someone who gives a second chance. Even after the horrible experience, I am willing to give this hotel a second chance but the higher ups need to have a meeting with their employees in relations to customer service and how to interact with customers. The employees may disrespect the wrong customer one day and that customer may act differently than other customers they have been disrespected by the employees of this establishment. I suggest that the higher up do a meeting in reference to customer service and interacting with customers so that this establishment can succeed. I do not see this hotel lasting very long with the type of employees they have working there, the morning shift I would say, the night shift was actually very polite and respectful. They answered all my question and never once did an employee show me attitude. Thank you Night Shift for helping me give this establishment a second chance. As for the Morning Shift, the establishment needs to hire a new one. Get rid of the current...

Especially the evenings and nights were the worst when the smell was very strong and unbearable.||||In the evenings and nights there were always some rooms that played loud music, have their TV on high volume and some party going on. Not to mention the smoke. ||||Some questionable characters hung around the hotel. They stared strangely and asked for light, cigarette and alcohol. Some even talked bit aggressively and some shoved while walking by. Based on some characters we saw we strongly suspected that this hotel is used for prostitution. ||||Some parts of the parking area were like a garage where there was always someone repairing cars. I wasn’t sure if the hotel was sharing the parking space with a garage. Many a times we saw people in the parking lot just hanging around playing loud music. ||||The hotel has no proper signage. Many signage were made with papers stuck on the wall. Our room didn’t even have evacuation or emergency exit plan. ||||On many occasions the warning alarm on one of the emergency exits was beeping loudly and everybody was going around their own business as if nothing is happening.||||Most staff at front desk just doesn’t care about customer service. Its so bad that the customer service is almost non-existent. Just one staff member was helpful who checked us helped us change our room but none of the other staff helped us arrange coffee machine.||||There were bugs and a rat in our room. We realized about the rat on the last day when we were packing the snack boxes we had bought for onward journey and the rat jump out of the box. ||||On the last day we ordered Uber to the Penn station and seeing us with a toddler our driver was wondering why we chose the hotel in one of the most violent area of the New York state. From the stories he told we were glad that nothing untoward happened to us. The stories also made it clear why the hotel staff was always behind (bulletproof?) glass and bit reluctant to come out of the reception area.||||The positives: Our friends who had room on 3rd floor had much better room with no smell of smoke in their lobby. But they too had noisy neighbors and some unpleasant encounters just outside the hotel.||||In conclusion:||If you are a single traveler: DON’T COME TO THIS HOTEL.||If you are with family, kids: DON’T COME TO THIS HOTEL.||If you have a breathing related issues: DON’T COME...
