Read moreOkay so let me tell you about my trip to Michaels burger place we came in about 2 o'clock pm it was dead so we got lucky we order and sit down 18.45 for a 1/4 cheese burger combo, grilled cheese combo and a side order of fries, a little pricey but I'm thinking a little place like this they will have some good burgers, but boy was I wrong, our food came and the burger looked fine but basically tasted like the equivalent of a burger made by your uncle at the family bbq, a slightly overcooked Patty ,a light dressing, and a soggy tomato, the saving Grace was the lettuce it was crisp but they put way to much to overcompensate for the lack of quality ingredients, I don't usually complain about Food but dam almost 20$ I could have went to McDonald's and been satisfied with that, but you can't always pick winners with hole in the wall burger places, fast forward 20 min my stomach and the girl who had the grilled cheese stomach begin to hurt and without getting too graphic I was sick from both ends , food poisoning is real and there are plenty of ways that a restaurant can cross contaminate, maybe the meat Patty wasn't cooked at the right temperature, or something was spoiled or old and used, accidents happen I've worked in the food industry and understand but when I called to complain I was brushed off by management saying that nobody else had gotten sick, some people just don't have good stomachs we order fresh meat every day, taking no responsibility for anything but instead it's my weak stomach for not being able to handle the food, wasn't looking to get money back just wanted then to know in case anyone else were to get sick I had called maybe 45 min after eating but for them to not even acknowledge that someone from their establishment had absolutely nothing to do with it and their food is 100% fresh everyday I cannot trust a place that does that and will not eat here again and wouldn't advise anyone...
Read moreI really hate to write a bad review on this establishment because we now drive down from LA and I've been going to Michael's since I was a little girl in elementary school, and am now 22 years old, but the food today was extremely terrible. I had a grilled cheese and my boyfriend had a quarter pound cheese burger.... on the way back to LA I got some strong painful cramps and needless to say we both got food poisoning. My bf threw up all day and I had a serious case of the runs. We couldn't even hold food down, unfortunately my bf got the worst of it. We called to let them know and they said it wasn't their problem nor responsibility. Deeply disappointed. Maybe cross contamination from the grills or even a non fresh ingredient. Whatever the case I'm deeply saddened by their behavior of yelling at us and clearly not caring about their customers. I know not everyone has had experiences like this, but they can still happen. Good...
