I stopped at Rhodies BBQ today, and the experience was fantastic. The food was incredibly flavorful, and the staff was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. I was curious about why they pull the brisket instead of slicing it, and they were happy to slice it for me upon request. Typically, I’ve seen fresh brisket sliced and then chopped the next day with sauce and chilies, but not fresh brisket pulled. After tasting it, I can understand their choice—this brisket is slightly leaner than the classic Texas style. However, it still held its own when sliced. The fat was perfectly rendered, the meat was tender, and the smoke ring was just right. The bark on the brisket added an incredible depth of flavor. The sides were some of the best I’ve ever had. The mac n’ cheese, with its bold kick from the chiles, was outstanding. The beans were rich and flavorful, and both the biscuit and the bacon-flavored potato salad were excellent. The sauces leaned more toward Carolina/molasses-style, but the “hooch” sauce stood out—it was intensely spicy and vinegar-forward, which I loved since I’m partial to Georgia-style BBQ sauces. Overall, Rhodies BBQ exceeded my expectations with its exceptional value, outstanding flavors, and flawless execution of traditional smoking techniques. Even by Texas standards, I would consider this excellent barbecue. My wife’s pulled pork was also fantastic, rounding out an unforgettable meal. Thank you for bringing a taste of Texas to my plate!

0rdered 6 ribs, regular size potato salad and coleslaw, 2 biscuits and a large tea. $40ish. The ribs were absolutely SMOTHERED in sauce. I found one on the bottom of the pile that didn't have much on it, very little seasoning, and definitely not smoked. They try to hide it with sauce. The sauce was so overpowering, I really didn't enjoy the ribs, only ate 3. The potato salad was delightful, but the coleslaw was bland. The biscuits were dry, and the worst I've ever had. Grands biscuits would have been better. The tea was tea, I refilled the cup to better wash the sauce flavor out of my mouth. I wouldn't go back, nor would I recommend.

The sauce is, I mean the sauce is just fantastically to drool for....if and I mean if you finna be in the neighborhood I-90 exit 22, left over the freeway, on the right next to the gas station. Pull Pork, that will put you in a freaken food Coma, get a designated driver after you eat anything from this joint. Guarantee to put all innocent bystanders to sleep. It's just that good. Been a good loyal customer ever since they was located in Northbend exit 34. gO, Go Go now and leave you're worries at the door! I love this BBQ JOINT. And I'm not talking bout the joints you blaze up!

Wow. I was holding back tears. My dad and I just finished work for the day, so we decided to go someplace and eat. We discovered the treasure that is Rhodie's and stepped inside. The aroma of the meat was swirling around the inside. I decided on a pork trailboss combo with a side of pepper jack Mac. My dad got pork/chicken biscuits as well as baked beans. We sat down and within 4 minutes, the food was on the table. I opened the Mac and cheese and was greeted by a beautiful assortment of noodles, and small carrots. I opened my mouth and took a bite, my stomach was warmed my mouth was in flavor town. I unwrapped my sandwich and came upon a gorgeous sub. I chose the spicy option and the tang of the spice, the sweetness of the meat, and the crunch of the bun made me tear up. My dad said his food was spectacular. Upon leaving it feels like leaving a part of me behind. The food felt reminiscent of coming home after hours of work to a nice warm fireplace and a home cooked meal. Greatest bbq I've ever eaten. Putting the Mac and cheese on the sandwich is heavenly. If you're in Preston, take a break and visit Rhodies, you...

As someone who grew up in the town that hosts the international BBQ fest every year, I know that this place is not the traditional style BBQ you'll find in the Midwest/South. But that doesn't mean it can't be appreciated for what it is! Sure it's not a traditional style but it is delicious regardless. Got the brisket and the pulled pork. Both were great but I preferred the brisket. It was a shredded/chunk style rather than the sliced brisket I expected but that's ok. The meat was tender and juicy. The fatty pieces gave it richness. The sauce was flavorful. The mac n cheese and baked beans were great and were such a compliment to the brisket. I wasn't personally a fan of the potato salad or mac salad my husband got but honestly I'm never going to prefer any deli salads over a good mac n cheese with pork n beans. The meal was hearty, filling, and very reasonably priced. Bonus points for actually having sweet tea!!! Staff were very kind as well. I personally prefer cornbread over a biscuit but I'm still gonna give it 5 stars because I would totally...
