Texas Best Smokehouse 1 — Restaurant in Italy

I've to say- this is the best BBQ I've ever had. We found this restaurant about 2 years ago. We've it set up in our navi to stop at this location to take a breather. That's how we found this "gem"!!! I was born in SA & have lived my 51 years in TX. Every time my husband & I drive back to Fairview - outside of north Dallas- from SA we stop to get a few Llbs of the brisket. It's AMAZING!!!! I'm extremely picky & always ask for them to cut it very very lean- yes I don't like any fat:).... We were just there this past Monday- 9/12/16. Service is outstanding. I take it to go. The BBQ sauce- especially the spicy is fabulous. If you want fabulous BBQ & great service please stop by this place. You won't regret it. I'm trying to find out if they have any locations near by us or to get their BBQ sent to us???

Also, the store where the BBQ place is located is wonderful. They've all types of goodies- from various types beef jerky to candles & all types of accessories & of course if you're wanting candy & other lovely edibles- they have it. The staff is beyond friendly, the establishment is VERY clean!! Restrooms are always spotless. It's one of the best places to stop for- coffee, gas, food & shopping!!! Everyone is very friendly, so you might meet some great people that are locals...

The ribs are so full of meat that when I tried to pick one up, it started falling off the bone. Not just tender but heavy with meat as well. I'm not really a rib person, just wanted to try them but I'd put them at 8/10.

I got the mild BBQ sauce because I'm not a fan of spicy BBQ sauce. It's pretty good. Not the best. Probably a 7/10.

I also got half a pound of pulled pork and shredded brisket. The brisket was terrible. 1/10 in my opinion. Maybe I just got a bad batch. Tasted like burn wood. The pulled pork was pretty good though. 7/10.

If I want ribs, I'll definitely be coming here again.

I would have got banana pudding but, like most places in this world, their banana pudding is 60% whipped cream. I hate whipped cream. Why does every place put so much? I want banana pudding. Not whipped cream with a hint of banana cream. Why does every place put so much whip cream in banana pudding. Madness I say....

If i had taken the prior reviews at face value i would have missed this awesome gem! My husband got the 3-meat plate(Hungry Cowboy) & I got the 2-meat plate(Cowgirl Special). This food was incredible! I cant give any better wording. I am a picky patron and i was floored. We arrived at 15 minutes to close and i expected the "end of the day disappointments" and got NONE! While the side options were a bit scarce it was not a bad option or quality in site. I got beans and the awesome mushrooms my husband got the rosemary potatoes and beans. Excellent. In his words " Im stuffed and dont want to stop eating because its sooo good" the young lady that waited on us was pleasant and helpful to us "first timers" even allowing us to sample the pulled pork. Just a great experience and we have leftovers that look like an entire meal. 2 thumbs...
