Cee Gee's Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Jackson Township

OK food and good prices; horrible, possibly pointed, service

My boyfriend took me here, excited because he'd had good food and service there before. When we arrived it was the last round of trivia; it was pretty packed, but still had room so we took a booth. Menus were dropped down and then it took 15 minutes for them to ask about drinks and take our order.

The food arrived reasonably for how busy it seemed, and I got a refill on my drink with the food. By this time the trivia was over and parties were leaving. I actually thought the burger was pretty good, and for the Tuesday special price I was happy. The problem was, no one came back to ask us if we wanted the check, more drinks, anything, for at least 37 minutes (I have Shazam running on my phone all the time) after I had finished everything on my plate, and a half hour after my boyfriend stopped eating.

I looked around during the night, and also as everyone filtered out, and noticed that the staff was actually waiting on everyone. Eventually, there was almost no one left; one server was chatting at a table, one was getting drinks for patrons and waiting around in between, and the other was cleaning. They just completely ignored us through 9 songs, and then I got up to the bar and asked for the check and a to go box for our leftover wings.

The server seemed weirdly unwilling to leave behind the bar and reached out very awkwardly and far to give me the box and check. My boyfriend paid in cash to avoid another interaction (he had a card with good restaurant points, but we wanted out) and it really ruined our night. I really don't know why we were treated that way, but I'm really hoping I inadvertently made a face at someone and offended them, rather than them being offput by two...

We came to this bar a few times and each time they gave us issues for no reason. The last time we came some random dude just punched my husband in the face a few times. My husband was bleeding, but did NOT punch back, yet we got kicked out anyway. Not only did we get kicked out but they first made us pay the bill! Zero compensation for getting attacked in their bar. And the guy who hit him was a regular there, was with his friends (who did not even get spoken too). As we left we saw him being let back in. We tried to get the video to make a police complaint but they gave us excuses about how they’ll get it to us later, but never did. This bar will make anyone who’s new feel so unwelcome that they’ll never want to go back. I found out about CeeGees a little over a year ago and have gone at least once a week since. I would recommend them to all my friends and would bring friends there to enjoy their food, especially their wings. Most recently I’ve noticed a drastic change in the quality and quantity of the food. Not sure if it’s due to new management or new supplier but I was never dissatisfied with my meals before until about 2-3months ago. Sad to say that now more often than not I am disappointed in my order. It’s gotten to the point where not even their delicious sauces can save the wings. Other than that they’re a good spot to grab a drink with friends, just make sure you pay attention to your bill, as a friend I had brought there once was over charged for drinks they did not order.
