UPDATE 3/17/21: Again, I won't return to this establishment unless under new ownership, based on the response of the owner alone. I did say in my original review "from what I observed". The restaurant might be implementing safety protocols that are unobservable to customers, but the situation I observed in-person was concerning enough to me personally that I would not return there. I am aware of the Ohio Health Department COVID-19 regulations. There are other ways to decrease the heat and humify in a commercial kitchen with proper ventilation systems, layout that promotes circulation, and other equipment and tactics. Also, when I placed my to-go order over the phone, I had asked the employee if they did curbside pickup and could bring my order out to my car, and the employee said no, that the restaurant did not do curbside pickup, which led me to having to go inside the restaurant. Your staff may be trained to wipe their head with the back of their hand, but actually implementing this is another thing. It seems the entire staff needs retrained on your protocols and procedures.
ORIGINAL REVIEW: From what I've observed, this restaurant is not following COVID-19 mandates as required by the state for restaurants. I placed a to-go order and was HORRIFIED to see the kitchen staff not wearing masks and then observed the man who prepared my food wipe his sweaty forehead with his gloved hand and then touch my food with that same gloved hand - absolutely disgusting! I do not recommend this establishment whatsoever. I was trying to do my part to support a local business, so they can keep my money as a donation because I went home and threw that food right out. It's such a simple ask for the kitchen staff to wear masks, so the blatant disregard for customer safety is appalling. I have eaten at this restaurant before the pandemic, but after today, I will never eat there again, except under new management. What a waste of...

The building is small (a former gas station, I think). When I entered the first thing I noticed was the decor, which was unimpressive--so much so that my first impulse was to back out of the door. But, I noticed the place was packed with people. So, I decided to give it a shot.
There is a small lunch counter that seats about six. There are about a dozen 4-top tables and a couple of 6-toppers. Most of the customers were a mixture of professionals (mostly nurses on lunch break), three or four office workers, a table of auto mechanics, and one table of construction workers.
There was one waitress/cashier, and perhaps two in the kitchen.
I had the Chicago Dog, house-made mustard coleslaw, and a large Coke. The hot dog was the best Chicago hot dog I've ever had (loaded with goodies). I've never had mustard coleslaw, before, but I'll be having it again (it's different but very good). The fountain coke was large and came with free refills.
The menus are on the tables and the waitress takes your order at the table. Service was polite and fast. As busy as she was, she found time to ask me if the food was okay and if she could get me something else. I like eating where servers take an interest in me. The bill was presented before I was finished eating (as a retired businessman who travelled a lot, I appreciate that at lunchtime--you don't have to wait forever to get your bill). The waitress cleared my table when I was finished and asked if I wanted a refill on my Coke.
The biggest surprise was how inexpensive the meal was. My bill was well under $8. And, I now wish I left a bigger tip--I'll make up for it on my next visit because...
Read moreWe've enjoyed this restaurant in the past: great wait staff, fun family night out, decent foods (it's just hot dogs after all). We wanted to support our local restaurants during the COVID pandemic so I checked to see if they had a website. Nope. Checked FB, yep they're on there but the menu pics were from customers and not easy to see (too far away, bad angle, glare on the men, etc.) I sent a message on FB saying that we'd like to support them but I can't find a menu. I received a flip response to Google one. I messaged back that I couldn't find a legible one and I was called lazy and dishonest! This is incredibly poor customer service, and unnecessarily rude to someone who was asking to give them business. I'm all but saying 'Here, I'd like you to take my money,' was basically told 'Screw you.' I can't imagine how anyone would stay in business by being unhelpful and casting aspersions on potential customers (for asking a completely legitimate question). It's almost as though they are TRYING to go out of business. Incredibly disappointing. If you want to eat here, don't ask...
