(This is going to be lengthy but bear with me.) Normally I'll just star places without writing reviews, but Inzillo's deserves more...
Tonight I call up and place an order. I get to Inzillo's, park, and walk in. Mike grabs my order and rings me up. I think nothing of it because I ordered a small garlic and bacon calzone (a usual for me; an amazing combo) and it smelled exactly like it normally does (like bacon and fresh garlic). I get home, put everything on the counter, get squared away, and come back to get the food ready. I open the box and...
🥁
It's a small pizza.
😲 😓
While I generally like their pizza, they have the best calzones I've had in Jackson and I was really set on having that. So I think about it for a bit, and realize I had to call because I really wasn't feeling pizza. Mike answers. After explaining things, he spoke with someone and then said they'd make & deliver the calzone to me (and I'm aware I'm slightly outside their delivery zone). Lo and behold, 30 minutes later Mike rings the doorbell.
Now, I don't like to go into too many details about what a business does to make something right since I don't want people exploiting a great small, local business. So let's just say they owned up to it and did right by me. I specifically wanted to shout out Mike because he made it right with no hesitation. Stand-up guy.
On a final, personal note... I grew up in Jackson. I've been having Inzillo's (and Enzo's) since I was little. When my late mother got sick a few years ago, she loved their eggplant parm so much I would have to drive nearly an hour from Pemberton just to pick up the eggplant parm and bring it to her. It made her happy knowing she was going to have that for dinner. Even towards the end, when it was getting hard for her to eat, she wanted the eggplant parm. Needless to say, I consider it a special place.
I write all this just to show overwhelming appreciation for a tremendous local business, and one that has been serving my community for what feels like forever. God...
Read moreCan’t honestly say anything about the food but the service was so bad I walked out before I could order. The woman that was apparently the server was so rude and not hospitable from her demeanor to her energy. I walk in, there is nothing that says to wait to be seated so I sit down at the only table I see available that hasn’t been cleaned yet. I figured the server would clean it but she then asked me to get up and wait at the front so that she could clean it - mind you I came in with a big bag, my work bag at that. Her energy was aggressive and not at all welcoming. She gives me a menu which I look at, at the front, then she says to me “I can sit down if I want” as if I wasn’t already sitting until she made me get up. She then yells from the cash register asking if I know what I want, rushing me, I literally came in to eat and relax, I’ve never had someone so unbelievably off putting that I’ve literally left before ordering. She made me feel so uncomfortable I didn’t want to be in there another second. Please remember people will never forget how you make them feel, and I don’t know, maybe it’s racism/it’s a small town and I’m a black woman perhaps she didn’t want to serve me, it’s possible, otherwise just someone who doesn’t belong in front of house!
P.S. the guy making pizza was really nice, maybe they should...
Read moreI have order from this place for years. I called today to place an order for delivery. For one the lady on the phone was very rude from the start. Whatever I let it go and continued with my order. Then it got to payment time. She asked me if I was leaving a tip on my card I said no( I was going to tip the driver in cash like I do most of the time i always tip no matter what.) she said well you better leave the tip at the front desk for my drivers. I told her straight up none of you guys are entitled to a tip. She said well if my drivers aren’t getting a tip I’m not sending them out I said again you guys aren’t entitled to a tip and you can’t make someone tip at all. I told her straight up I don’t want to order anymore and I want to speak to the manager she said well I am the manager. She’s the same snobby, rude lady that’s at the front all the time she has terrible customer service I have seen her plenty of times treat multiple customers awful. I always tip the drivers $15+ and my order is never more than $23. I completely understand the drivers depend on the tips that’s how they get payed because you guys don’t pay them much but you can’t demand a tip from anyone no one is entitled to a tip. I never once said over the phone that I wasn’t...
