Captain D's — Restaurant in Jackson

Friday , August 4, 2023 my coworker and I placed our orders to go at 11:19 am. It was hot as hell inside of the restaurant like the ac unit wasn't working, and the service we received was terrible. The female ( Edna)that was taking orders in the drive-thru had a very unpleasant attitude and wasn't listening to the other customers about their orders. So , there were a couple of guys ahead of us waiting on a large order of food. We had hoped that our food was going to be good and fresh. I ordered the fish and shrimp meal with corn and fries. My coworker ordered the grilled salmon and rice with coleslaw and okra. The unpleasantly rude female employee asked us what condiments we needed , so we told Tatar sauce , cocktail sauce and butter. When I told her that I didn't get any butter, she got an attitude and said she was Only one person and rolled her eyes, how Ghetto!! We went to work, and DIDNOT ENJOY OUR FOOD. My fish didn't taste fresh , neither did my shrimp, they were hard . I only had a little scoop of fries and and my corn taste nasty as hell like it was old from the way it looked. My coworker 's salmon was dry , rice was bland and gummy and the okra tasted like old grease . Then they had the audacity to put the coleslaw on the same plate as the hot food. So, I called the store this morning to speak about my service from yesterday. I asked to speak to a manager but I can't say if I actually spoke to a manager because the person that claimed to be a " shift manager " wasn't very considerate nor knowledgeable. So, I'm waiting for a female general manager to give me a call. If not , I will seek to reach out to corporate office and I hope this review helps. It's upsetting that customers want hot and fresh food and employees feel like they can serve garbage food too the customers. So when there's an issue, some employees will pretend to act like managers and some managers do defend employees with their wrongful acts. If you care about how your food is prepared I wouldn't recommend eating at this location. Upon sitting in the long line I placed our order online for the white fish with shrimp skewers, green beans and okra. My husband had the 3pc spicy battered fish with corn and a potato and when I received it, my fish and okra were NOT cooked thoroughly, the green beans had a glob of what looked like partially cooked bacon in it and was missing my shrimp skewer and was clearly rushed/thrown together so I went to get my refund and upon getting back in the truck my husband said he only had 1 spicy fish and the other two were original.....not what was ordered. I went to Captain D's yesterday and when I got my plate and look nothing like the picture they have taken whole fillets split them down the middle and cut them in half so for my $10 instead of getting 3 full fillets I received three small pieces of fish now I consider that false advertising on your picture you have three fillets on the advertisement you have three but I received three small pieces of fish now I haven't been to Captain D's in a couple years so I was shocked when I saw the size of the fish I was getting I didn't complain I took my fish and went on about my business and I've decided that no I would never eat at Captain D's on on Frontage Road Jackson Mississippi ever again I have to give you a rating that is more...
