Seems like all of the hotels/motels in Jackson TN aren't that great based on the reviews. Unless you want to spend almost $200 for one night. We picked this one thinking it would be ok. First off, there was no furniture, chairs bench etc in the lobby..... The older lady at the front desk was very nice. We went to our room, (3rd floor) the smoke detector had been ripped off the wall, the room smelled bad, one of the wall lamps was hanging off the wall, the bed cover was from 1980 and had a couple holes in it....we went back to the front desk, she gave us a room on the 2nd floor, we went in, it smelled like cigarettes although it was suppose to be non smoking, and it was 2 queen beds, although we had paid for a king bed, we went back to the front desk. She said she thought that would make me happy.... (although I was there with my boyfriend and we wanted 1 bed) no biggie.. she put us in another room on the 3rd floor. We went in, it was better, with a king bed. But there was mold in the refrigerator, the air conditioning unit was ripped up hanging off the wall. And where there should be a rod with hangers for clothes, there was nothing. The rooms dont even have curtains, just a blind. We were both tired and just decided to stay. Its just one night. The room had the fridge (with mold) and a microwave. The microwave seemed clean but we didnt use it. No table, no accent chair, no hair dryer, no phone, no alarm clock, no trash can in bathroom, no iron or ironing board. One of the 2 wall lamps did not work. The lamp shades were both filthy. The ceiling light by the door was so dim it was like a night light. The (old) toilet barely flushed. What looks like it use to be a little balcony had a window screen just sitting there along with an empty coke bottle and an old, wet bandana that I thought was womens panties at first 😳 Pretty sure people live here as their residence. There was probably like maybe 5 other vehicles in the parking lot besides ours. The other hotel guests we saw look pretty sketchy. Halls smell like weed. And like one other post had mentioned, there was indeed a raccoon on the top of the building by the main entrance. Wouldn't want to go outside at night here. Went back to the front desk and got a couple of pillows from a different lady because there are 3 on the bed and they are very thin. Bed is hard. This room was facing I-40 so you could hear all the interstate traffic. Thankfully, I have ear plugs to sleep with and my boyfriend can sleep through a tornado lol... We both didnt sleep well at all, besides the thin pillows, the hard mattress, doors were slamming closed all through the night into this morning. The worst part- the shower had no pressure and NO HOT WATER. Not even warm. I let it run for a good 5 minutes thinking it would warm up.... nope. I called the hotel and was told the manager will call me today. I want a refund. If you cant sleep or take a shower, whats the point of staying in a hotel? They robbed me of my money. Would have been better to sleep in my truck. The good things- the a/c does work good and the front desk ladies are nice. I know this isnt a 5 star hotel, But definitely would not consider staying here again. Hands down the worst motel I've/We've...
Read moreYou have to be very careful on who reads these hotels locally because obviously some people be telling lies the hotel on Hotels.com got a 6 1/2 out of 10 and typically I usually spend a little bit more money to get a nicer hotel. However, this was a one day business trip so I didn’t want to have to deal with my company having to get them to reimburse me for $200, but I’m definitely going to be more discerning on these rooms going forward and all I can say is that this location is utter disaster. I drove up to the property and I thought police cruisers us at the front door. OK no worries sometimes you get rowdy guests and the police have to be called well I get inside and come to find out one of the guests had O D’d and they were hauling body out into the coroners vehicle 🚗. Already a bad look then I took a look around at the facility and it look like most of the people there were either recovering addicts or people…. Who look like they had just got furloughed from a halfway house and don’t get me wrong. I’m not a classist or anything like that but this is definitely a hotel that you don’t want to bring your family to. |The room overall was clean and decent even though the hallway leading to the rooms had a lot to be desired. It looks like they took an old building and renovated it and it is now started to get dated.||Which is sad because it seems in this city they bunch of all the budget hotels right beside each other but for a small city like this for hotels to start at $180 and go up is ridiculous… however, if you don’t pay the cost, you get stuck in a seedy property like this two 👎🏿👎🏿down with...
Read moreI was looking for a pet free hotel as most in Jackson are pet friendly idk why, so it was 9:30 pm I was tired and chose this place oh my gosh why I didn't ask for refund idk. The front of hotel had trash and dead landscape, elevator had coffee straw's and dirt in it, hallways had dried mud in carpet and cigarette butts everywhere, my room wasn't cleaned very well cigarette ash in window seal, sheets had been washed I think but had hair on them from dryer, shower was nasty with hair all over and in sink, screen was torn off window and just laying on balcony. It was $91 tax included I can say the night clerk who checked me in was very nice and helpful she was there when I checked out so I asked her how many hours she worked she said 12 hour shift, no wonder she looked so tired and overwhelmed omg, btw I never saw anyone else no housekeeper or maintenance. Me and the clerk were only English speaking people on property I think this is a holding place for migrants until they are transferred to major cities the place was full of them and they were all standing out front of hotel waiting for something the next morning, who knows if they were legally in country or not? Be smart and stay at comfort inn right behind this place it's $170 a night but it was really nice I was just on a budget and couldn't afford...
