McDonald's — Restaurant in Jackson

Ordered 2 of the collector cup meals, both with Sprite, and a hamburger kids meal. Order on screen was correct. The guy repeated the order back to me correctly. I paid and pulled up to the pick up window. I did not get my receipt. The girl at the pick up window argued with me that I ordered Fanta and not Sprite. She then tried to tell me I didn’t get 2 collectors cups ( this is the only reason my kids wanted to go to McDonalds) and tried to give me just one. Then I was told it would be another nearly $3 for the second cup even though I specifically ordered and was charged for the collected cup meals. I paid as I wanted to be done with the situation and wanted to go home. When the correct drinks were handed to me, I stated that I wasn’t asked what sauce I wanted with my 10 piece nuggets and I asked for buffalo and ranch. Without saying anything the window was shut. A few minutes later I was handed my food and drove away. When I got home I wasn’t given any ranch. It may seem minor, but there was a lot of attitude for spending just over $30. McDonald's has really changed. I did enjoy sitting outside the picnic table in the back. And I love nature and I had my little puppy dog and I got to eat honeysuckles. McDonald's is trying to be prim and proper. I have mixed emotions about that. McDonald's is supposed to be fun teaching children I know I have three college credits and McDonald's. Not so formal, but it's still good food. Just think about what you're doing to the kids though. All ages. Think about it all the children's things are being taken away. It's not fair for them and they're the next generation. We're supposed to pay it forward. Children used to love playing in the play field at McDonald's. Are you that scared of each other that the next generation doesn't even get a chance? That's not fair for them. They need to be talked to meet be able to share and play! Don't get me wrong McDonald's I'm not saying nothing wrong I just think that the important businesses need to look at the impact they're having on the future. Thank you. I used my mobile app on this visit as I do every chance I get, it racks up points, gets me thru the drive thru quicker, and I enjoy having the freedom to take my time , change my mind, mix it up, and really get what i'm craving. that is not where I was going with this tho so let me get back to telling you why my visit to the Jackson, MO McDonald's was so nice today. I don't live in Jackson, but my man was hungry so there I was in the drive thru, I gave my mobile order number and was given permission to proceed to the first window. I kind of dread the first window cuz it is there that they try to pass you that little piece of paper. I will admit most the time if possible I just don't stop at the first window, I turn and look the other way and roll on by.....but today I stopped. when I do stop I prepare myself for what I will say.......but today was different, a good different, today the very young man opened his window and before I could say it he said those words to me..."did you want your receipt today, maam?"...
