Sam's Seafood — Restaurant in Jackson

I love their fish it’s always seasoned perfectly. I was visiting this place everyday or sometimes twice a day until last week. The ladies up front know me as a regular. I usually get a 6 or 12 piece fish with 2 crack sauce as I call it lol (sams tartar sauce) and 1 hot sauce every time. Well when the white guy asked what sauces I needed I asked for my usual 2 crack sauces and 1 hot sauce and he replied “ YOU CAN ONLY GET ONE OF EACH” I told him to please get the Mexican lady and I asked her who is he and she told me that he was her boss‼️ His attitude turned me away from this place. He actually got upset because she gave me 2 TARTAR SAUCES🤦🏽‍♀️ If you know how big those pieces are then you understand why I asked for 2. I haven’t been back and don’t plan on returning because of the way he treats his customers as well as his workers. I GAVE THEM 2 STARS ONLY BECAUSE OF THE MANAGERS...

I called over 5 times to try and place an order and they never answered. I finally just drove there and placed an order. I was told 20mins and i can get it in the drive thru. I waited 20mins and drove through the drive thru, i was told it wasn't ready. I was then asked to loop around so I did, it still wasn't ready. I was told they'll walk it out to me. I waited an additional 20mins and began to get sick so i drove back through the drive thru and waited 5 more mins. Get to the window and was told they don't know what happened. Would i like a refund? A refund is no compensation for waiting 45 mins, burning gas, and my sugar dropping causing me to get sick while waiting. The young lady had an attitude when i was explaining that a refund is not good enough. Then i noticed that she wasnt wearing any shoes, she was actually wearing socks. I wouldn't recommend...

Sam’s is in the middle of the hood but I will note they normally have security past evening. This is by far my favorite seafood place in Mississippi. Everything on the menu is good. They give excellent portion size and great prices. I usually go for the grilled fish.

To update, I tried the chicken Philly and highly recommend it. This was the best damn chicken Philly I have ever had probably with Lenny’s sub shop as runner up. But the flavor was superb. I even accidentally bit a finger is how serious it got lol. It came with seasoned fries which I didn’t expect. Not sure if that’s a normal thing for the sandwiches because they never came with the fish plate which always had regular cut fries but the seasoned fries are my preference and they were awesome with...
