Waffle House — Restaurant in Jackson

**Let me preface by noting that our family doesn't live anywhere near a Waffle House, so we consider our visits there to be a treat. That being said, our family LOVES going to Waffle House, & not just for breakfast either! We arrived here at about 6:45pm on a Monday night, & they weren't terribly busy. The restaurant & restrooms were clean & in good order. There were 3 other patrons eating when we arrived, & a few more came in while we were there. Our waitress was very friendly & she was quick to get our drink order. Our child stayed with her favorite- breakfast; she had the kids eggs & bacon with a side of hashbrowns. She loved it & ate every bite. My hubs went on to order the Cheesesteak Melt Hashbrown Bowl, while I had the Chicken Melt Hashbrown Bowl. Both of these meals were absolutely delicious! The chicken was fried & super tender. The servings were generous, & our food arrived hot. My daughter even enjoyed a few bites of my meal. 👍🏼 The cook & waitress were the only employees at this time, & they were operating like a finely tuned machine. Can never visit Waffle House without getting an Allstar !! Also order the Texas Burger Cheese steak and its super good.. Had peanut butter waffle. Was great if you like peanut butter? Had the roasted flavor of peanuts.. I didn't know they also have a variety of waffles you can choose from as well just have to ask ? Lol. The tea is FIRE !! Its good Southern Sweet tea like Momma makes it lol. Had absolutely amazing service. The lady that took care of us was amazing ! I didn't have to wait, only long enough for our server to bus the table. Cookes were on point ! Food was cooked to order even during the rush of the day. They literally turn an burn here ! Its clean 👌 restrooms were clean. Atmosphere is that of a Cafe diner if you will. All employees greet you and service was great for me from start to finish. Even got a Tea to go. I hate that I cannot remember the young ladies name but she knows who I'm talking about when she reads this ?! Thank you again when you do !? I will be back considering I have family in the area... My family loves going to Waffle House. However, this one is a joke. We was on south side so Just decided to go there but should of went to north side. Waitress had an attitude, just seemed like she didn’t wanna be there. Menu was different then we usually get, so I guess I read it wrong but then when asked for my grits that I thought came with it was apparently a problem. When she walked off to get it she said something I didn’t catch it but knew was about me. My husband who has hella patience and takes a lot to annoy him. Was even offended by how I was treated. We just ate and left, I was so mad I wasn’t even gonna eat my food. Food was good except the grits that stuff was nasty and tasted funny. We will never return to this place. I’m a big believer in tipping as we tip well however I will not tip someone who is rude to us.
