Been trying to find a diner that was not a chain restaurant since moving here from California. Found Angie’s on google and had good reviews so decided to go. Came in waitress acknowledged my boyfriend and I to sit anywhere we’d like. She proceeded to say the same to another couple after us. Took that couples drink order and a single gentleman that sat after that couple. Asked another waitress if we could get service and her response was that they are busy on the weekends. The waitress served the other customers their drink and still didn’t even attempt to come to our table to give us service. I know that service does tend to slow down when it gets busy but all the other customers had their orders in or at the end of their meals that it should not have the waitress to completely ignore the fact she had a table that she had not gone to get their drink order. I am big on supporting locally owned businesses but not when the service is worse than big chain restaurants. I had eaten at this restaurant many years ago, and their portion sizes weren't very good at that time. However, I am pleased to say I had a different experience this morning the breakfast that I had was very good! In portion sizes were very generous! The veggie omelette was absolutely delicious! food was hot, service was fast and friendly. and the restaurant was generally clean. Very pleased, and I will be back again. Highly recommended! I ordered eggs, sausage link, home fries and toast with a single pancake on the side, coffee. Listed are items that I would kindly ask the owner to consider.Key items to making a meal enjoyable are lacking.
