Im so glad the playhouse brought comedy to Jacksonville! I checked the place out last night and it was trully a great experience. Iā€™m hoping they will thrive so we can see some bigger names perform. Couple things Iā€™d like to mention- I only stayed for the 2 hour program. They had open mic afterwards but my stomach was eating itself. They donā€™t sell any food (yet). The waitresses are dressed very sexy. Be warned you will see some booty cheek but donā€™t let that scare you. This is no strip club. This place is perfect for couples on date night without having to go all the way to Raleigh. I ordered a dirty martini-delicious. Canā€™t go wrong. $12. Standard price! Iā€™m really impressed with what theyā€™ve done with the inside of the building and the stage. If I could change one thing- itā€™d be the music they chose to play in between sets. Iā€™d love to see them class it up a bit with some light jazz. I really encourage anyone reading this review to check the place out. Itā€™s a unique and refreshing idea brought to J- Vegas that deserves the communities support! I will be coming back. I heard there was a food truck the weekend priorā€¦.

My wife and I was looking for something new to do in Jacksonville NC. So we decided to try out Playhouse. It didnā€™t disappoint was amazing Chris Robbins was an awesome host and the comedians were funny as hell. The waiters were on point serving drinks. We will definitely be doing this more often!!

Went with a few others last night to the comedy show. Truly enjoyed the experience. Carl the man in charge greeted you when checking in, gave the run down and welcomed you. Bartenders were chill and looked out on service. Comedians, new and vets did really good. Jessica and Jason truly funny!!

I discovered this comedy club about a month ago, and itā€™s quickly become a favorite! My wife and I have been twice for date night, and weā€™ve had an amazing time each visit. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with a staff that goes out of their way to make you feel welcome. The drink prices are very reasonable, and the lineup of comedians never disappoints. One of the best surprises? The seats are incredibly comfortable, making it easy to sit back and enjoy the show. Plus, you can bring your own food, which adds a fun and unique touch to the experience. A pure gem within Jacksonville. Mixing local talent with touring comedians; Playhouse has been able to consistently deliver professional & entertaining shows. And I've been to many of them.

The staff are incredible, the venue is comfortable, and it's a club which does great things for the region's comedy scene.
