The chefs make some really phenomenal, great sauce combinations and some are super crave-able. 👨🍳
Appetizer Their zucchini fries have an impressive flavor with super great dipping sauce. The lemon slice is a perfect touch for a fresh overall spritz. What else can I use their amazing sauce for when I have slight leftover? Also, their quality meatballs and ricotta have great flavor. Their calamari is wonderful with great dipping sauces.
Salad I absolutely love their sweet, simple, and unique house salad. When ordering, I request extra dressing and extra olives. I share I enjoy banana peppers. 🥗 🫒 🥛 🧀
Dishes I enjoy their sweet, yummy, and special mezzaluna ravioli. 🫕 🐥 🍅 Also, their creamy lobster ravioli is a wonderful, slightly simple dish. 🦞 🥛 The chef makes a beautiful chicken parmesan coated with panko breadcrumbs and side of pasta covered in their creamy tomato pomodoro sauce. When placing my order, I request extra sauce to be made to make for a hydrating meal. 🐥 🍝 🧀 🥛 🍅
More meals I wish to try their lasagna. I request their large house salad. 🍝 🥗 🫒 🥛 Also, I wish to try their flavorful chicken piccata with the creamy fettuccine alfredo pasta. I request to try a large Italian salad with plenty of dressing. 🐥🥛 🥗 🫒 🪴 Their small steak would pair well with alfredo pasta. 🐮 🥛 Lastly, I wish to try their grilled shrimp and scallops dish with garlic mashed potatoes and side house salad. 🍤 🥔 🥗
Dessert The pastry chef prepares a really nice and possibly some of the best cheesecake. The dessert has a wonderful texture with tasteful strawberry topping which is possibly my favorite cake option. 🍰 Also, their special, slightly light, and fluffy bread pudding is phenomenal. I am super thankful for when the item is available for special occasion. 🍮
Request I really wish for Italian quality pasta. 🇮🇹 The menu is large. I really wish people would stick to ordering the dishes they really mainly enjoy. I would love to see the restaurant being able to keep more long term other really good, quality specialty items. I love their quality chefs enjoy being wonderfully...
Read moreA Night to Remember at Carrabba's Wine Night!
I had the pleasure of attending Carrabba's Wine Night recently, and it was an absolute delight from start to finish! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and exceptional service. The atmosphere was cozy yet vibrant, setting the perfect backdrop for an evening of indulgence.
The wine selections were nothing short of extraordinary. Each pairing was thoughtfully curated to complement the delectable courses. I was particularly impressed with the Riondo Prosecco, which was the perfect companion to the fresh and creamy Berries & Burrata. The subtle notes of green apple and pear elevated the dish to a whole new level.
The culinary experience continued to impress with every course. The Spiedino di Mare was a standout, with succulent shrimp coated in Italian breadcrumbs, perfectly grilled, and topped with a luscious lemon butter sauce. Paired with the Chloe Pinot Grigio, it was a match made in heaven.
The Tuscan Strawberry Salad with Scallops was a burst of flavors, with the fresh strawberries and gorgonzola creating a harmonious balance. The J Pinot Gris was the ideal pairing, enhancing the vibrant and fresh profile of the salad.
The Chicken Toscana was a hearty and satisfying dish, with oven-baked chicken over a creamy sausage and lentil risotto. The Apothic Red Blend brought out the savory richness of the dish, making every bite an experience to savor.
And let's not forget the grand finale – the Warm Fudge Brownie with Salted Caramel. This decadent dessert, paired with the Drop of Sunshine Red Blend, was pure bliss. The ripe berry flavors and hints of spice in the wine perfectly complemented the deep chocolate richness of the brownie.
Overall, Carrabba's Wine Night exceeded all expectations. The attention to detail, impeccable service, and exceptional food and wine pairings made for an unforgettable evening. I highly recommend this experience to anyone looking to indulge in a night of culinary excellence. Bravo,...
Read moreA Deeply Disappointing Experience at Carrabba's – Baymeadows Location
I’ve dined at many restaurants over the years, but my experience at the Baymeadows Carrabba’s was, without question, the worst I’ve ever had. Despite it being a relatively slow Friday night, the service was shockingly inattentive and inefficient. Our server, Raychel S., provided what can only be described as a textbook example of poor hospitality — inattentive, disengaged, and ultimately dismissive.
While the food arrived quickly, the quality was severely lacking. The lasagna was flattened to the point of resembling a microwaved leftover, and the chicken tasted far from fresh. Worse still, the cleanliness of the restaurant was unacceptable. From grimy bathrooms to dirty plates that had to be sent back, it was clear that attention to detail was missing across the board.
This visit was particularly frustrating because I had chosen Carrabba’s as a casual alternative to the finer restaurants my family usually enjoys. Unfortunately, it proved to be a mistake. The final straw came when Raychel delivered our check unprompted — despite us clearly still considering dessert. Instead of staying, we left and took our business to Maggiano’s, where we received the level of service and quality we had originally hoped for.
At one point, I had to leave my table just to find a bartender who could help us close out our tab because our server was nowhere to be found.
Frankly, I’m shocked this location continues to operate in such a state. If this were an independent restaurant, it might very well be featured on Kitchen Nightmares. I regret not taking photos, as this could have served as a valuable training opportunity for the management team or regional director.
Carrabba’s is a recognizable name, but this location severely tarnishes its reputation. I hope leadership takes these concerns seriously and implements...
