China Garden — Restaurant in Jacksonville

The only experience I can offer at this time is witnessing ZING, restaurant owner purchasing fish from homeless man in ma Port area.. these fish were not inspected and the red fish were oversized over the limit. Redfish are protected species and the larger ones are generally not good eating as I they tend to get wormy the larger they are. Their purpose is to breed. Mr Zing, I'm sure the spelling is off that's all I know him as Mr zing. He also purchases trout. There's a limit on the amount of trout you can catch a day and this is far exceeded by the person who sells them to Mr Zing. This is done on a daily basis. I've seen some of these fish not be on ice in the heat for hours.. even days . Please investigate this for Yourself.approximately one year ago Mr.Zing was cited and ordered a court hearing on which he was convicted and ordered to pay fines. The gentleman that sold him the fish being that this is public record Charles Anthony Abel,did nott make it to his court date and was issued three warrants. When apprehended Mr Abel call the new charge for possession of meth. He recently did 10 months was released and is presently selling to Mr Zing my intent is not that of a malicious nature I feel like my duty having this information by seeing it with my own eyes to protect the public. These fish are not inspected and you have no way of knowing the conditions that they have been in prior to purchasing. Prefer to report positive information hopefully this will get Mr zing's attention. Thank you...

I have been to this place a few times previous to today and had good experiences. Today was the absolute WORST experience. I ordered over the phone as the online system was down and the total online did not match the amount the woman over the phone gave. I tried asking about the difference over the phone but I don't believe she was understanding what I was asking so I just thought to ask the question again when I came in. When I did come pick up I showed the same woman who took my order that the order I was placing online was several dollars different and simply asked if there was a reason there was a big difference in the prices. She explained its an old menu online and its 2 years old and then proceeded to ask "do you want the food or not". I asked to have a moment to look over the menu but her attitude was off-putting and she walked away, spoke to someone in the back and repeated the question not two minutes later stating she'll give it to me for $52. At no point was I trying to negotiate and I explained to her that I will pay what she initially said which was around $55 and I had no issues with that if there is an issue with the online menu. I'd just like to know what I'm paying for of course. What made me decide to leave and never come back was the last "okay so did you want the food or not".... Definitely not a friendly place wasn't greated when we walked in, after waiting finally someone spoke out of the 2 standing there looking down at something, and ask for our order, I had asked a question about the lunch menu, never got a response my friend had to ask again, then was offered various things for my lunch special order.but wasn't told it was more because of it until it was charged to me, ok got the order straight finally, we sat down to wait, a caucasian woman walks in, she immediately received a greeting and was asked her order, to end it off was given my order with not even a thank you, will not be going back.
