After years of driving past this restaurant and its jam-packed parking lot we finally decided to give it a try. I fully expected this to be a relaxed, easy place which it is. The inside matches the outside-basic, old, worn and defiantly committed to ugliness, but if the food is good, who cares, right? Well it's not. Initially I thought we found a gem when our server brought a portion of spread and crackers. It was tasty - a cream cheese base with shrimp, scallops, fish and other scraps I'm sure. I liked it, but then there was dinner. I ordered fettuccine with shrimp and scallops. It came with two sides, but most of the side selections are loaded with carbs. I could have had a salad, but I didn't. Instead I got cheese grits and green beans. They were both good. Still it would have been better to have some other green options. My scallops were just gross; undercooked, mushy and very foul-tasting. I ate only two and left the rest. The shrimp and pasta were just okay. The hubs had a duo-platter with shrimp and scallops. The hubs said his was okay but also felt the scallops were undercooked. For sides, he had a baked potato and cole slaw, which he enjoyed. Service was good. The menu offered a good selection. Pricing would have been fair if the place was nicer and the food was better. At the register, I told the young, (very young - like 12 years old) lady about the scallops and she said, "Yeah, a lot of people say that about the scallops. Maybe they're just bad?". Poor little thing, I think she was clueless. I'm glad we tried it and now we know. We won't be back.

I think I've been getting going here for about 15 years. This was my mother's favorite seafood restaurant. We use to go all the time.. Since she passed i try to go back about 2 times a year. Around mother's day and the holidays. Mother's day was amazing. When I went yesterday it was awful. *The tables were sticky. *Waiter not friendly at all. *Waiter did bring all my sides at the same time. *Then he forgot the ranch that comes with the side. *I asked for lemon in my water. He brought one lemon. It was sitting on the lid of a take out cup. Lids & hands🙄. *Their grits are usually the best in town. No runny. *The fish was nice and crispy on the outside BUT a little undercooked on the inside. I was disappointed especially since there has been a price increase. Finally the bathrooms in a restaurant. Horrible. Maybe 1- 1 1/2 steps from a gas station restroom. Covid has changed this but this is a tragedy for what used to be a high quality family restaurant. I no longer recommend this restaurant.

More like see-food before you leave after pick up. Not good. We have not been here in some time and from what I recall, the meal was much much better then this. One of the pictures is a baked potato, that by all counts looks rotten. You can see the rotteness outside so I'm really struggling to understand how that even made it to our takeout. The picture that has the meal was advertised as a combo platter: any three. Well, not sure what platter means to anyone else but I really thought this was a meal for both me and my wife, the potato was hers btw. This was a togo order and we did not check it until we got to our destination. To their defense, the waitress did offer to check the order, but that thing that was a potato would not have been discovered until meal time. Very disappointed. Check your order before you leave.

Came In for the first time last night, we picked it based on the reviews. It wasn't busy, only elderly people dining in. The appetizers were decent, we tried the gator and fried pickles. Entrees were highly priced but we figured they were worth it based on the reviews. Two people in my party had seafood Alfredo, both complained it tasted off and bland. I asked the waitress for a good recommendation. She said the stuffed flounder. It Comes stuffed with crab and topped with melted Monterey jack cheese. You get 2 sides which was hard because almost everything was a carb. Nobody likes eating fries and baked potatoes together or too much fried foods. So I asked if the green beans were fresh or canned. She insisted they were fresh because I stated I just don't like the texture of canned so I don't want to waste my option. I ordered cheese grits and green beans. My food came out, the entree itself had absolutely no seasoning and resembled and had the texture of canned cat food. Sadly the green beans we all ordered were canned, but the cheese grits were awesome. I do think this place has a lot of potential but for $90 for 3 adults and 2 kids the food should taste better, and I expect to not be lied to about it. I hope management sees this post and steps up their game. For now we will not be recommending this place to anyone or be...

I visited this restaurant 2 times. I was so impressed with the service and the quality of the food that I had to come back for the second time. I would have given this restaurant 5 stars but the second time was dampened by the service I received. The food was great but the service sucked. I was eating the on the 5th of May, 2017 between 4 - 6 PM. It was not busy but this particular waitress treated me like she was too busy. How can you serve a person their main course with the empty appetizer plates still on the table? I had to ask for Tabasco and napkins 3 times. Really people this restaurant is great and I'm not hard to please but she didn't even deserve the 3 bucks that I left her for a tip. My normal tips are 15 dollars and up. The reason for that is that I have had to wait tables before in my lifetime. So I know what I'm saying. It seemed like she was more focused on looking for someone to enter the restaurant because she gave sub-par service to both tables on my right and my left. And she only had 3 tables at that time to take care of and we came in 20 to 30 mins apart. I hope she get it together because this restaurant is too good to have crappy...
