Dairi-O 100 Parkwood Dr, Jacksonville, NC 28546
Offers a variety of food options that are diner-esque, & I recently had the opportunity to try their Monster Burger. This burger features a single 6.4 oz patty served on a toasted sesame seed bun with customizable topping, I went with the classic – lettuce, tomato, onion & mustard.
The taste & quality of the burger has potential, my experience was this is just fancy fast food & just above average. One of the most disappointing aspects was that it appears they slapped room temperature cheese on the burger & did not melt, which is often a key element in enhancing the flavor and overall enjoyment of a burger. NOT to mention it ruined the overall presentation of the burger itself and losses a point just for that. Due to this alone the fact the cheese was not melted detracted from what could have been a more satisfying experience.
The service however was a positive aspect of this place was commendable and perfect. The staff were friendly & attentive, making sure that my order was taken promptly and accurately as well as the food was out before I even filled my ice and drink up completely. Due to the outstanding service this did help balance out some of the shortcomings with the food. The pricing at Dairi-O is reasonable for what you receive. Given that it falls into the category of “fancy fast food,” I found the prices to be appropriate for the quality offered. However, considering my experience with the burger itself, I would expect slightly higher standards in terms of food preparation.
In summary, while Dairi-O provides a clean atmosphere & excellent service, my experience with the food itself left much to be desired due to issues like un-melted cheese. It’s a decent option if you’re looking for quick bites in Jacksonville but may not meet expectations for those seeking the perfect burger. I would give it another try but wouldn’t go out of my way to do so ….onto the next spot!

Read more!!! DONT JUDGE OFF THIS REVIEW !!! Everyone should try this place. This was only my first time. I just wanted to give an honest review in hopes of better Dairi-O recipes and pricing.
I got the two hotdog combo for my two kids to share and a warm cake sundae. With French fries as a side, and they were great well seasoned like a Zaxbys Fri. The hot dogs are the size of a store bought, maybe smaller. I'm not sure if it's worth 10$ dollars for the meal. (Although I did get them plain for the kids) The sundae was a disappointment. I was expecting a warm, fluffy frosted cake with some ice cream and hot fudge. What I got was two 1-inch thick dry cold sponge cake that had no icing/frosting. I'd describe the cake as like a freshly defrosted from the freezer texture. NOT WORTH THE PRICE ! Service is new they are getting trained, so I can't critique much they did great on that end, but not 5* since they couldn't figure out how to upgrade a small Fri to a large.
To sum up everything, Dairi-O's needs to either get better quality food or lower the price of the food. The fries were well done, but the dessert was lacking in quality, and the hot dogs were overpriced for the size you get. I'll be going again to try other things on the menu. In the hope, Dairi-O listens to their customers and makes the right changes before the...
Read moreSo the food we had was delicious. We had their triple patty burger with 2 slices of cheese, grilled onions, and chili as toppings. We also tried their onion rings. They were perfectly fried to a crispy golden brown while being soft and juicy in the center. We had their chicken Souvlaki. It was spot on as far as taste goes. Unfortunately, the Taziki sauce wasn't as great as we hoped it would be. We also got their chicken tenders. The tenders were full-size pieces cooked to perfection. We loved the ranch and honey mustard sauces. We also tried various ice creams in Sunday, cone, and shake styles all were very well composed. The seating was very comfortable with various heights of chairs for all sizes some cushioned and some wooden. The only bad factor was it was quite warm and humid in the dining area. The service we received was phenomenal. Of all their employees the only one that seemed to have a small talking issue which they quickly fixed once it was pointed out. If the dining area wasn't so humid and warm plus they had some form of dining music I would give this place a full 5 stars. Maybe the dining room was warm because they wanted to tempt one toward their ice cream. If so it worked because we had a lot of it. Overall our experience was enjoyable and we will now keep this place on our "restaurants we will...
