I can honestly say this was the best experience I’ve ever had at an Outback Steakhouse. It started from the moment I was greeted at the front door right up until the very last second I walked out of it. To begin with, I was asked if I minded sitting in the lounge area, which I didn’t because I was alone today and could preferred it actually because I had a touch of a migraine starting and there’d be less chance of loud children over there in the bar than in the regular dining area- not that I mind children because I absolutely ADORE them. It’s just my head wasn’t adoring them today. Moving on. My waiter was a cheery young fellow by the name of Chris. Chris was absolutely the lovely. He allowed my totally indecisive mind to take all the time it needed to figure out what my small appetite would love to indulge in but also satisfy with leftovers the appetites of a hungry husband and a 6’5” garbage disposal 17 year old. Therefore, he made his suggestions and when I asked for his honest opinions on what he personally liked or didn’t, he didn’t hesitate to go into detail what he liked and why. This I appreciated. All too often servers tell you what they think you want to hear or what they think will sell food. This is not so. If something isn’t good, I won’t buy it again and will remember who told me and where I got it. Chances are I wouldn’t go back there. Because Chris told me the truth about the food today and was honest about it, I value his opinion and this will make me want to make me a return customer to this restaurant. With the way our economic crisis is in this country, the American people’s dollars are having to count even more. We need more honest hard working people like Chris out there. As we were talking during the length of my visit, I feel as if I made several friends. This is what things should be like. Community. This restaurant just embodies that. Again, one of the most enjoyable experiences I’ve ever had at a restaurant ever. To Chris, Chaz and all the folks there, thank you so very much. I’ll definitely be coming back. Next time, I’ll bring more folks with me....
Read moreAfter all the positive reviews I was really looking for an amazing experience and this visit fell way short of that. 1)The waitress Morgan took forever to check on us to refill our drinks 2)we had to ask her to clear our tables of the bread and app plates when she brought our food so we'd have more space 3)we were never told that the lemonades did not COME WITH REFILLS (I had 3 glasses and it tasted different each time bc clearly the bartender wasn't consistent with the mixing). I would have ordered something different as the 1st one was not good. 4)I gotta post a picture of my plate bc my food looked like it was randomly thrown on my plate, no presentation. 5)the butter sauce they put on my sweet potato was just nasty, couldn't eat it all. 6)the filet mignon had allot of fat on it, moreso than when I order at other restaurants 7)To add insult to injury; a manager person of some sort, kept walking around checking on random tables and bypassed us everytime time and never said a word to us at our table until we got up to leave. And she only said, "have a good night", while 30 secs before she just asked the couple at the table beside us who were STILL eating "how's everything, do you need anything?" She walked by our table and never asked us one time how was everything or if we needed anything. Needless to say, after spending $75 for hubby and I, we will not be back. Longhorn or Texas Roadhouse is better, the food is delicious, they don't charge you extra for special lemonades just bc the bartender made it, and the waitresses are attentive to everyone just not...
Read moreOkay haven't been to outback in awhile and won't be returning. At first step into the restaurant it's a old musk of non washed rags used to wipe tables. Kinda ignored it , sat at the bar and ordered the steak and grilled shrimp. I'm thinking I would get at least some decent shrimp naw I got 4 shrimp that looked precooked then tossed on a grill that has old seasoning on it. Not to mention it was laying on a slice of "garlic bread" that I thought was a extra piece of steak. And the steak was a nugget I thought I got the kids menu for a second. But honestly what turned me off was when the waitress came to deliver my food she was literally talking in the food I thought the little splats of spit from her mouth was the reason my bread was so soggy...no that was kinda mean but that turned me completely off. The bar tender and the manager were cool so that's why I put a 3 for service but they need to strip that floor in the whole restaurant..just shut it down one night and strip it because it's greasy and slippery as hell. Now the waitress was older and she was sweet but the chatter has to be cut until the food is in front of the customer. Good bread though but...
