Let me start off by saying that this opening was highly anticipated for us. Thankfully, Jaggers did not disappoint! We went for the Friends and Family Practice Opening Event on 7/17/23. From the beginning the crew was so polite and friendly. The restaurant was pretty loud and it was hard to hear the crew members talking to us, but that's more of a patrons issue rather than the crew. Now for the food, I had ordered the chicken tenders with fries and an oreo shake, and my mom ordered the California grilled chicken with fries and a sprite. Those had to have been the crispiest chicken tenders I've ever had here in NC and especially here in Jacksonville. I've been on the hunt for good chicken tenders for a while now as nobody seemed to have any decent ones (when it comes to fast food) other than Wingstop. I wish they had a little more flavor on their own, like maybe if the chicken was rubbed with something before being fried or if the flour had some seasoning tossed in it, but overall they were pretty good. The fries are absolutely fantastic, seasoned perfectly and the perfect amount of crispness. I love that they chose shoestring fries, I think they are the best fry type other than those you get at the fair. The shake was heavenly, you can't really mess up an oreo shake though, and it tasted similar to those I've had at other places, but it was blended a lot better. There wasn't big chunks of oreo that got stuck in the straw and they use the big thick straws for their shakes so you can actually drink it without waiting for it to melt. My mom absolutely loved her chicken sandwich, she said it was amazing and she adored the fries. She also had a few sips of my shake and loved that too. We both agreed after we finished our food that we want to try everything they have on the menu. Every item looked delicious. We can't wait to come back once they are officially open!! Well done...
Read moreIf I could give this establishment zero stars, I would. While the food was undeniably good — a small beacon of hope in an otherwise grim experience — the drive-thru attendant, Teagen, was a disaster of epic proportions. I
Teagen approached the ordering process like it was a hostage negotiation rather than a simple food transaction. His/her condescending tone could only be described as a mix of eye-rolling and dramatic sighing, making it painfully clear that I was an inconvenience to his/her existence. Asking for confirmation of the name he/her stated felt like a crime against humanity, and I could practically hear his/her internal monologue screaming, “How dare you disrupt my day?”
I half-expected him/her to roll her/him eyes so hard they’d get stuck. Instead, I was met with him/her haughty attitude as her/him spat back with her/his silence. RUDE! The only thing worse than him/her customer service was him/her knack for making you feel like you had somehow offended her by daring to show up and place an order.
The food? Delicious. The experience? Torturous. Sure, the fries were hot and the burger was juicy, but I couldn’t enjoy a single bite knowing that the person who handed it to me could barely muster a smile — or even basic human decency. If they replaced Teagen with a traffic cone, I’d still consider it an upgrade.
So, if you’re craving good food but are willing to endure the emotional and psychological trauma inflicted by Teagen, by all means, go ahead. Just be prepared. It’s a gamble — delightful nourishment on one side, cringe-worthy service on the other. Honestly, the food alone isn’t worth the therapy session I’ll need to recover from this mind-boggling interaction. Avoid this drive-thru unless you want a side of unwarranted disdain with your meal! Matter of fact avoid the...
Read moreAs I embarked on my noble quest to find the ultimate, perfect burger quite some time ago; my never-ending journey crossed paths with Jaggers. If you are looking for HOT, FRESH AND FAST juicy burgers, look no further than this spot on the most traveled road in JVille – Western BLVD. This is a big step above any “fast food” joint food quality place to stop at. I’d say it’s a fast-casual paradise where dreams are made of beef and buns! Jaggers Burgers offers a dining experience that is light speed service, hot & fresh food that will fulfill the burger cravings in the snap of a finger. In short get this before any shitty fast-food burger in this town and you won’t be disappointed, as well as you’ll spend about the same nowadays.
The order for the day was their Crazy Good Cheeseburger – Which featured: Two patties, American cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, Jaggers sauce. The Jagger sauce has hints of BBQ sauce, mayo and sour cream and pairs well with the burger itself if used sparingly. I paired this with the shoestring fries, which were cooked to crispy perfection and barely needed any seasonings such as salt or pepper.
The burger was stuffed with juicy beef & melty cheese as well as the fresh toppings perfectly caressed within the bun. However, the flavor profile of the burgers seems to be lacking, which detracts from the overall enjoyment of the burger itself. It was hot, fresh, juicy just wasn’t there in flavor town for me, but better than any fast-food crap that’s shoved out a window.
