How can you get rid of Hazelnut swirl... hazelnut is a staple flavor!! But you have cinnamon bun and caramel, and adding salted caramel and Irish cream just to name a few. Hazelnut is the only swirl I like in my hot coffee. The sugar free one is gross. I was told a few months ago from dunkins corporate that this was franchise specific when I came across this at one location, but now I'm finding this everywhere. I mean does the same person own all the DD in Florida? I'm definitely writing corporate again to find out. But it's definitely not a good move removing a popular, staple flavor to replace with several different uncommon flavors which only appeal to a small amount of customers.
It wouldn't be so bad if I could do just cream and sugar, but that I can no longer do. Ever since the regular size pots were changed to the big commercial ones, the coffee just don't taste the same. Not even extra/extra will do. It's just not the same, period. Looks like I'm going with starbucks on the regular. If I'm stuck paying $5 for caramel macchiatos daily, definitely starbucks, all the way, tastes much better. I rather pay a little extra for my drink to taste good and starbucks definitely wins on the espresso side.
Dunkin just keeps doing things to ruin their staple item, the COFFEE (it's not the donuts people!) Stopped brewing flavors, added sugar free flavor syrups (yuck). Added swirls, awesome, great move! Stopped brewing coffee in normal size carafes, coffee tastes different, another bad move. Swirls cover up the difference, ok no biggie until the days you run out of my swirl. Take away a great tasting swirl, a staple flavor, so guess what now the coffee taste like sh*t for myself and anyone else that does not like the other swirls!!
I made 2 to 3 trips per day to DD. No exaggeration. Dunkins has now lost me. I can't be the only person that only does the Hazelnut swirl (especially when the crew tells me it's a popular flavor and they don't understand why it's discontinued as well, and I'm speaking of at several locations as I travel for work), I can imagine a lot of lost business. It just don't make sense. I just don't get it. I grew up on Dunkins, and in its home state of Mass, where I am from as well. So it's a bit bittersweet. Maybe it will come back, but until then, there's no longer a reason for my continued...
Read moreLocation: 10379 Atlantic Blvd. Visit day/time: Saturday, Aug 3rd @ 6:20pm. Upon aproaching this building, I saw an older lady walk up to the door, pull on it, and walk back to her car. As she saw my hudand, son, and I walking up, she advised me the building was closed. I got back in my car and looked up their hours of operation online. Google said they were open until 10pm. As I sat in my car, calling another location ( 3031 Monument Road) and the phone rang and rang, I watched 3 vehicles attempt to get service via the drive thru unsuccessfully. The phone line picked up and was dead silent, and then the line was disconnected. I was just about to leave when another car came and immediately parked in the very back of the parking lot. The lady that got out looked like an employee, so i opened my door and asked if they were open. She advised that noone wanted to come in to work that day, but that they will open in just 2 minutes. I turned to my husband and asked "if they can open in 2 minutes----who the heck is makin' donuts?!" At this point i'm more curious than anything. We went inside and sure enough there was a very small selection of donuts. We learned that the lady who opened the store was a actually the manager who had been called in due to the lack of coverage for that afternoon, and that there was indeed another lady in the back of the store somewhere......making donuts. The manager was very kind though, and she even gave us a discount for the visit experience and the lack of inventory. For this reason, i gave 3 stars...
Read moreI will NEVER go back to this place!!!! The cashier acted like he knew nothing about anything, I ordered a grilled chicken flatbread, he wrang me up, it took about 5 minutes just to ring me up. I paid he never gave me my change, then come to find out they didnt have grilled chicken at all. So i had to go with the unhealthy choice of breaded. I was okay with it, I thought it would still be good. My cousin who was also with me waited 10 minutes standing there waiting on him to take her order. Once my food was done he then took her order. They were out of ketchup, my food was very hot and fresh but the sandwich was not anything like it was supposed to be it had hardly any cheese on it and was just thrown together. While waitingon her(cousin) order she came to me upset. She said he was making her hashbrowns and when he took them out to look to see if they were done, he picked up a hashbrown with his bare hand and squeezed the middle to see if it was done and then threw it back in the fryer oven. The food was not bad and even if the guy was new and in training who ever trained him did a terrible job. We were both very unsatisfied and will NEVER go back to this place. And also I asked for a refill because we ate in and they were trying to charge me for a refill of a small drink after I already had a terrible experience. I would have much rather went to a lower end place and gotten better...
