Firehouse Subs Baptist Downtown — Restaurant in Jacksonville

If I could give this particular Firehouse Sub zero stars, I would. They are the most unprofessional and nasty set of people, and they do not want to work. As my son and I entered the doors and walked up to the counter, one of the workers behind the counter blurted out to the other employee, "Tell 'em it's gon be a 30 minute wait". She had a nasty demeanor and a stank tone. The other employee, knowing she was being nasty, replied with an uncomfortable giggly gesture, "Naw, I'm not gon do them like that. It don't have to be that long". (laugh, laugh ,laugh) I paused for a second because I couldn't believe this is how employees working around food for people visiting the hospital would treat people. They have no idea why people are at the hospital. They don't know what sort of emotional issues people are battling. Firehouse Subs, you need to do better. You should not have employees with no sense of people skills working in a location such as a hospital. The hospital is a place where people are grieving daily. No one wants to deal with rude, disrespectful, nasty food workers when all you want to do is get a little bite and get back to your loved ones. Firehouse Sub, do better training of these employees. Put a customer feedback QR code in the store and have the feedback go directly to corporate. Encourage patrons to leave feedbacks and see if the environment of these...

They need the firehouse subs for a very long time first one I experience was on college Street Jacksonville Florida 5 points area I was hooked. Over the years of eating at Firehouse is all over Northeast Florida South Georgia at 1:00 thing I particularly like is there Italian grilled chicken salad I have two ingredients on the salad that do not agree with me that is green peppers and cucumbers usually I'll order the salad substitute the two with banana peppers and black olives visited Firehouse at Baptist hospital they're refused to make the salad as I requested as many other Firehouse subs have done and this one has in the past of my request of the substitution they said their salads come one way they are pre-made at the end of the counter and that is all that is available just two nights ago ate out of firehouse at River City marketplace in Jacksonville Florida on Skylark drive had no oooo issues at all with ordering my food and the substitutions so why is this one Firehouse Sub so different and not willing to accommodate customers...

Awful experience! I love firehouse but I went to this location last night right before closing time & my experience was absolutely awful! The lady who took my order was very rude rolling her eyes and tapping her wrist (as if it was a watch) not only was she rude we were unable to get what we wanted because they already had the store broke down ready to close for the night. Ridiculous! The drink machine was down, the teas were gone, they put the soup away already & while our sandwiches were being made the ladies making our sandwiches were giggling back and forth and one said “these sandwiches might not have any meat on them at all I’m ready to get the hell up outta here” I understand I’m in here right before you are closing but this location is in a hospital sometimes that just happens.
