"I wish I had four arms... So that I could give [this place] four thumbs down! I'm Rick James." I don't usually leave reviews of this caliber, but this place was so unsanitary that it's honestly laughable. One of the first things we asked for is the shops social media, which they informed was non-existent. Their menus are written in sharpie on poster boards, hanging from the ceiling tile without pictures. Some menu options appear written in pen on sticky notes plastered below them. The tables were so filthy that another customer offered wet wipes from their purse because they saw us using napkins and hand sanitizer to try to clean our table. Though the employees witnessed us attempting to clean it at no point did they offer to clean themselves. They keep their spoons in a dusty aluminum container on the counter. The cashier was noticeably sick and coughing/sneezing all over the place while talking on the phone. We ordered ice cream and taiyaki but left immediately once they served us our ice cream because we didn't want to bother waiting for the sneeze-particle -infested taiyaki the employee was making WITHOUT gloves nor a mask. No we didn't bother asking for a refund nor taking pictures because we just wanted to get out of there. Normally, I have no issue requesting a refund but I didnt want to cause a whole commotion about having to explain to an employee why I didnt want to eat a $3 taiyaki that was potentially and mistakenly sneezed on The ice cream isn't great quality, but it does taste good. Tastes a bit watered-down, almost literally. Even so, the ice cream itself has potential to be great if this place can sharpen up on its cleanliness, sanitation, and presentation. Sadly, flavor is all this place has going for it. I don't believe that the employees are intentionally neflectful because though they were short with their words, they were nice.
Overall thoughts: I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Especially a germaphobe. "You get what you pay for" couldn't even salvage the experience at this place. If you read the other low star reviews, you'll see that they all talk about the same thing. So this has been an ongoing problem and that's worrisome. All things considered, I went to this place months ago. Hopefully they’ve changed because some these other review are making me think we visited...

You create your own ice cream from scratch and watch it made in front of you. You have many options to choose from. You can use whole milk, or other non dairy options. You choose a flavor, such a mint, mocha, or my personal favorite: Thai/chai tea. (It reminds me of boba tea). Then you add two toppings. What I love to do is get Thai Tea with chocolate chips. It might sound odd, but I swear it's good.
The two you see at the bottom are: mocha coffee ice cream with peanut butter candy and syrup (I believe), and Thai Tea with chocolate chips. Both were great. I've had other flavors such as mint that was amazing.
The Taiyaki fish was taro. While it didn't actually taste like taro, it was still very good. Honestly it just tasted like cream cheese with purple food coloring. (Good thing I love cream cheese). But it was seriously still good. I'll be getting another one of a different flavor next time.
If you haven't stopped in yet, do yourself a favor and do it!
The only reason it isn't 5 stars is I believe the place can be cleaner. Most of the tables were dirty or sticky. It just feels like it needs a week off to just scrub the place down, change the scenery and toss stuff out. Those cards on the wall are cool, but they're getting a little old. I used to go here a lot a few years ago, and it wasn't this dirty looking. But maybe it's just me.
(Also as a side note I've never had my ice cream rolled for as many times I've been here, but some have. I wonder why...
Read moreI am not one to ever leave reviews. Good or bad. but this time If I could give no stars I would. I went with my in-laws Friday late afternoon . It was one of the few times my mother in law has gone out since there start of Covid due to her cancer. The heavier set young white girl Took our order with such an attitude then proceeded to yell at one of her coworkers saying “we’re busy making a ton of ice cream right now! don’t you see I’m busy?” when it was only our family (5 people total) in the store. we felt very unwelcome and unwanted by her. She rushed each and everyone of us with our toppings, rolled her eyes several times and constantly made slick remarks to her coworker as if we were not people, or even human beings, standing in front of her. I was completely humiliated for bringing my mother-in-law to the store. I work in the food industry so I understand having a bad day I understand sometimes having attitude after dealing with a string of rude people but what she had was not an attitude due to a long day. she has an awful personality. She is just straight up mean to people because she is a mean spirited person. I can only imagine how she treats other people during rushes… After sharing my experience with some of my friends a few of them said that they have gone to the ice cream shop before and received the same type of customer service from that girl. She does not need to be working the counter or making peoples ice cream with that type of service. she belongs doing prep in the back away...
