By far the worst sushi and experience

I very recently called in a order to be delivered to my house where I ordered the hibachi dinner, rock n roll, and a philadelphia roll. I received my food 45 minutes later which was expected so i was ok with it. I ate my food that wasn't the best but was decent so i thought at the time. not event 5 minutes after i finished my food i started to feel sick to my stomach and threw up everything i ate. I was sick the whole night throwing up, and i very much so needed some rest ASAP so thats what i did. I woke up the next morning stomach still in pain from the horrific experience i had endured the day before. I call The Sushi House and explain to them my horrible experience and they say " We cant do anything because you didnt call yesterday" they dont even apologize for my terrible experience let alone offer to refund my food. I continue to explain to them how i wouldve called but i was sick and was even considering going to the emergency room , their response was " I wasn"t here yesterday so". Regardless of her saying she wasnt here yestaerday I know that was the same person that had taken my order the day before. So thats what led me here doing the only thing it seems i have power to do in this situation Voicing my opinion and sharing...

Running errands and needed a quick lunch to go.

Haven't been here in over a decade since. So to my surprise when I decided to try it today since it's under new ownership.

Seating area & store in general: much brighter with the remodel and clean. More space to move around and the entire feel of sitting there to dine is much more comfortable. Very nice!

Staff and owner are very friendly.

I had the famous chirashi bowl and the salmon skin hand roll.

Salmon skin hand roll: let's just say... I walked out with it in my hand. Lol! It was so good that I ate it up before I even reached my car. Lol! (I was only 1/2 block away) Crispy skin paired with fresh ingredients. Yumm!

All the reviews about how good the chirashi bowl is was legit! The fish were very fresh. The rice was just the right amount of seasoning. And I love that he added a couple slices of Persian cucumbers (yes, not authentic but very smart) gives you some crispy freshness that works well with the dish. The best part - he added a layer of diced marinated mushrooms on top of the sushi rice, under the assorted fish. Oh my!! They was soooo good! I love that they did that. First time I had it they way. It definitely made this chirashi stand out from other places...

The food is amazing! I ordered steak hibachi, miso soup and tiramisu. I had to have it delivered since I can’t drive right now due to a surgery. Therefore I tipped very well and was just appreciative to have good food brought to me. My only complaint is that my total at checkout was not what was billed to me. The transaction was higher than my checkout total, may not have been by a lot but the discrepancy was off putting. I messaged them right away and upon receiving my order via delivery I looked at the receipt. They increased their tip! Like I said, finally eating real and good food and the convenience of it being delivered, I tipped well. To add, they are only a few miles down the road. So to increase it was very confusing, and ultimately increasing my total. A total can decrease, never increase especially due to increasing your own tip…. All of what I got, tip included, was already over $35, what my total was at checkout should’ve remained as it was, or call me if you are wanting to alter it. 1 cent or 1 dollar, nothing should’ve changed. The food is great, just pay attention...
