Open Sushi — Restaurant in Jacksonville

Went there for lunch, for the first time, during my lunch hour and there was only 2 people there and they had already been served. I was there with 2 other coworkers and we placed our order within 5 mins of sitting down. After being there for 45 mins we still didn’t have our food and had to leave however there were 2 sets of couples that came in after us but somehow received both of their meals before us. When I asked the person at the register what happened he got defensive. We weren’t able to check our food until we got back to work and were very disappointed in the quality of food that we received. I checked this place out because the place I was originally going was closed for renovations. What a nice treat of unlikely American style Japanese cuisine. I tried sparkling sake and it was good. Traditionally, sake is served hot but this bottled fizzy peach beverage reminded me of a wine cooler. You can order combination meals that aren't on the menu. I asked for scallops off the hibachi menu. My date asked for the same but also wanted steak. Our server then told us they can make combination platters out of almost anything on the menu. The price is the same as a single item meal. The portions are huge. We both took food home. Their cozy booths are great for conversation and the atmosphere is quiet...

I've driven right by the shopping center where Open Sushi is located almost every day, but never noticed the restaurant was there - until now, and I'm very glad I spotted it and decided to give it a try! The online menu is very user-friendly for online orders, or you can give them a call if you like. They offer some really good specials for lunch, which makes an order even more affordable. I absolutely loved the rolls I chose...and you get a choice of soup or salad, which I never get when doing carry-out from other sushi restaurants! Friendly and fast service - Open Sushi has just become my new favorite neighborhood restaurant. I'll definitely be placing an order again very soon! Five stars!...
