In my opinion if you want an experience that is coffee, then the Grinder is the place. There is no other place that blends culture and community like this establishment. Slava the proprietor has maintained an excellent tradition of European coffee and tea since he opened roughly 25 years ago in 2000. His energy, love and laughter fill this coffee house daily. A simple and adult atmosphere that is child and pet friendly with outdoor smoking and DJ on the weekends, I have always enjoyed the environment. The people gathering here are always a fine and progressive mix of European and American speaking folk and at least four languages at any given time being spoken. I personally recommend patience while visiting for the coffee. Each drink and dessert are individually prepared by knowledgible baristas that dont take no shit and have a great time interacting and establishing community friendships. This is a coffee craft connoisseurs locale and worth a date. Anisa the barista is a professional creator of fine and authentic beverages. She has never missed my order or prepared a drink that did not exceed my expectation or was not made perfectly. I have always recommended the Coffee Grinder as a night spot on account that it closes at 2a.m and serves beer and wine to boot. Enjoy and sample the selection of small foods and treats. Youll find this place is...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAfter today, I will NEVER spend another dime at this establishment. That being said, I had the unfortunate experience of being waited on by a dark-haired barista by the name of Aneesa, the Albanian woman (not sure if that is the correct spelling or not). After this unfortunate experience, I felt that this issue needed to be addressed with someone above her. I then decided to go back and ask who the manager was so that I could speak with them to which she replied that she was the manager. I then proceeded to ask who the owner was and she asked if she wanted me for her to be the owner to which I said no. I then asked when the owner will be back and she said at 7:30. I went back to the the cafe at 7:30 sharp and the owner wasnāt there. I asked where the owner was and she said he wasnāt there yet but that I could have a seat. I waited for around 30 minutes before I decided to get up and leave due to growing tired of waiting. I would give this place 0 stars if I could but I canāt. Iāve dealt with this woman and her nasty attitude several times before, but after today, this is the last time they get a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was very excited about this place when Google Explore suggested it. My main issue is with customer service. While the employees strive to offer professional and friendly service, the owner can be disrespectful at times. I feel like the owner doesnāt take seriously certain types of customers, even though I ALWAYS tip according to the amount of money I spend. I aim to support local businesses, but I find that the drawback to smaller mom and pops shops is that they can be inconsistent either in quality of products, logistics, and/or service. When something happens, there are no proper channels to address issues, as opposed to a corporate chain where they often have a 1-800 number available for customers. Although the coffee does taste good, the lack of consistency in customer service bothers me. I have a demanding job in IT. When I go to a coffee shop I want to leave relaxed not pissed off because of poor service, especially when provided by the owner. Iāve been coming here almost daily for 2 months, but I wonāt be back. I am...
