J-Town Wings & Philly — Restaurant in Jacksonville

Went here with high hopes for lunch as i was told good things from a close friend…. Bad move. I ordered 15 garlic parm wings with the gentlemen at the counter (who was very nice and patient, best part of the situation), paid and turned around to sit down to wait and literally 30 seconds later he comes out with the food. Even another gentlemen who was waiting for his food before me said out loud “wow!” amazed at how quick they came out. I proceeded to tell the man there was no way that those were ready, he tried telling the man in the back who came out insisting that they were “just made”, however they were barely warm.. when I told him they weren’t fresh and asked for new ones he proceeded to argue with me, open the food container and then put his hands on the food to show that “these aren’t hot?!”…. Very disappointing when all he had to do was turn around and drop a fresh batch… instead he lost a new customer and a long time...

At first when I found this restaurant online, I read the reviews and slightly nervous but most seemed favorable so I decided to give it a fair shot and Im glad I did. Im visiting from out of town and decided to stop in for lunch midday and it was awesome. I wish I could give the wings 10 stars. I had the number 4 combo. Wings, philly cheesesteak, fries and drink. I got the Mild(buffalo) lemon pepper wings and that is a divine combo of flavors. (You get 5 wings but I had already eaten one)Not to mention the wings were fried perfectly with perfect amount of sauce. The cheesesteak was seasoned well and the bread was toasted great also. The fries were cooked great and tasted great but only nit-pick I have is they didnt seem to be salted or if so very little. This was my first time visiting J-Town W&P and had I read the reviews before coming, I would have missed out on some good food. Customer service was great; I was quickly greeted and offered the opportunity to taste one of the wing flavors. They have a variety of food, wing sauce and Philly flavors. My wings were cooked to the correct texture and cooked all the way thru without me having to describe how I wanted then to be and they treated great. The prices were fair and they even had 🍰.

The restaurant was clean, even decorated for the upcoming holiday 🎄🎅.

I would have given them all 5 ✨ but because the chicken in my fried rice was burned (didn't notice until I got home), they didn't have the blue cheese dip, you only get one sauce (ranch) with an order of 10 wings, I had to pay for more, and they didn't have any catfish is why I didn't give them a five...
