EXTREMELY greasy empanadas!! 😝 And they gotta know it because they put a wad of paper towels at the bottom of the bag to absorb it! When I got home, I layed them on the counter between layers of paper towels and tried to get as much grease out as possible. Didn't work. There were 3 empanadas in each bag. You could squeeze the grease out of the paper towel that was in the bottom of the bag! So gross! And such a greasy mess!! I couldn't even eat the half of one that I cut. So nasty! Not much flavor. Just tasted like thick greasy dough. I won't be back.

One of the best empanada locations you will find in Jax with good portions. They have a full range of meats and sweets that can be inside. The carne mechada is the best and make sure you get the green sauce that comes with it. If they also had baked empanadas as an option it would be even better. The oil is a little excessive. Fried food tastes great but I would love to see a healthier alternative in the future. Nonetheless Vamos Venezuela!

Empanadas are delicious, with a variety of different fillings. Ground beef, ham and cheese, pernil, cheese, and many more. Get there early it gets busy, and they run out of their most popular ones mid-morning. Everything I have tried has been great. Parking can be a bit difficult because it gets busy and not a lot of parking space.

Everything is so good and authentic at Gochas. All of their Empanadas are absolutely delicious. I have tried just about everything on the menu and I have not been disappointed yet. I absolutely love the cheeseburger Empanadas, the ham/cheese/bacon Empanadas, and the Ranchero Empanadas. Their cheese sticks are superior. The owner and his mother are very welcoming and the staff is very helpful as well. I highly recommend them for the food, service quality, and the hospitality. I am definitely a Gochas Empanadas fan...
