Accidentally Vegan Friendly

The food quality is good-the vegetables cooked to perfection and fresh. Tofu is clearly a menu option both steamed and fried, I did not ask but I feel certain based on my tofu conversation they would substitute tofu for meat in a dish. I had the mixed vegetables and asked for spicy garlic sauce instead of the menu sauce and it was WONDERFUL. Really more sweet like a General Tao’s but the best stir fry I have had in a Chinese restaurant in 6 months, trumping my recent review which was really good, too. Friend had the veggie fried rice and liked it. Another had brown sauce on veggies and found it too salty. Spring rolls are also vegan but were not fried hot enough I guess as they were crispy outside, soft inside and soaked in grease. This little family owned business is not fancy but has a very polite staff who has some difficulty with English. First time there. We wont be back. Carry out server friendly enough. Family members loitering around the front counter was odd. Work or go somewhere else.

But the real reason is the food was not all that I was expecting. So many noodles and so little meat in the house special lo mien as to make it a carb overload experience. I picked out the tiny pieces of meat and few small shrimp (2 oz max). Noodles and sauce not bad. Definitely not worth it. 700 cal of noodles went into the trash.

Moo Shu pork very watery. Never experienced it before this way. Wonton soup passable, Hot Sour soup too oily. Egg rolls cheap.

We ordered pepper steak and onions, received it and had white meat. So i called and said we received the wrong meat. They told me no, we got beef. They assured us we were wrong. Since when is pepper steak white? It didnt even taste like beef, chicken, or pork so i dont know what it really was. Also the delivery guy placed the order on a decorative lantern outside my door, which has a big note on it saying "do not place anything on lantern, it will not support the weight" and now the lantern is broken.
