We get this for take out, usually after it's been long enough to have forgotten how they screwed up our last order. Three orders ago they forgot the 4 ounce queso cheese dip my girlfriend gets to go with everything she eats from here. Doesnt sound that bad but we are charged for it and she dips everything in it. So its kind of like forgetting sour cream for Tacos. The previous time they included it, but opened, upside down and spilled on everything inside the knotted closed bag. The most recent time I decided to try ground beef quesadillas, they're on the menu. I dont eat chicken, my girlfriend gets chicken quesadillas. She was sitting right next to me when she ordered over the phone so I heard them repeat it back to her correctly. Its also correct on the receipt. I'm exhausted and my gf wasn't feeling great today so we decided to order out instead of cooking. We get home with the food and it's two chicken quesadillas instead of one beef and one chicken. So a 3rd of our order went in the trash and I'm looking for something to make in my kitchen. Which is what I was trying to avoid by spending 50$ on takeout for the two of us. The food is ok not the worst, not the best. Even when it miraculously turns out to be what we ordered. If you decide to order from here I definitely would not use a delivery service, if they even allow that. We live 2 minutes away and that amount of time in transit is pushing it unless you like everything wet and soggy Mexican food. Actually, even the 2 minute drive is too long. I recommend unwrapping every single item you ordered while at the register (you'll have to cut the knotted bags open) to check if it is in fact what you ordered before paying and leaving with it. Bring a roll of paper towels and put them under the food inside the Styrofoam containers, which are essentially designed to make everything wet and soggy just from the humidity without the undrained meat. No drinks, Two quesadillas, Americana tacos and a 4 ounce cup of queso dip are 50$ if you pick it up. I know this sounds insane but some people don't like chicken. Further more, (and bare with me here as I know this is a complex topic) some people like the food that they like, thats why they order it. Especially when paying twice as much for slightly better than Taco bell. Three screwups in a row is my limit. They've messed up in the past as well, I think it was no condiments or something like that but i cant recall the precise details. Mistakes happen, minor mistakes arent usually a deal breaker. These aren't minor mistakes, they are mistakes that ruin a meal. So in summery, check everything before you leave and bring a roll of paper towels. I won't be spending money here again but hopefully with these tips you may have a better experience than the last 3 times we've ordered here, plus a handful of minor screups before that. And don't offer me free food to fix things. I won't eat at a place again that I've been forced to complain about online because I don't want to risk getting sick if I've pissed off the cook, owner or something. This is not an accusation, just a reality with fragile human ego's being what they are. Going our seperate ways is good with me. Hope this helps!đ
Edited for typos and Google deciding to upload my incomplete comment while I was attempting to proof read it. I'm still starving so I probably made some typos anyway. Also google deciding what words I actually (did not) mean to say in all its AI glory. Anyway I hope you get the...
Read moreI had eaten at their location on Amelia Island shortly after they opened and enjoyed it. So I was looking forward to having the same experience at the newest location that was only a mile and a half from my house, as well as future visits and the occasional takeout from this very close location. But the same old lessons that I found to be true so many times with restaurants over and over and over you go eat there one time and it's really good and then when you go back for the second time oftentimes taking friends or family to eat there too it's never as good the second time. This happens with a lot of restaurants not just ones with different locations.. there's no consistency with the restaurants around here. I gave it three stars because it's a cool place with all the cool artwork on the walls and all the skulls and all the colors but that's where the excitement ended. The hostess was not friendly at all. I don't believe he said three words to us. And the waitress had no personality and was not very attentive. Of course if you get really really good food you can almost overlook all of that other stuff but that was not to be the case this time. The food had a very bland taste to it it didn't taste like authentic Mexican food it tasted like food that had cumin on it to make it seem like Mexican food but just was not very good at all. I got the deal where you can choose three for only $12 I believe so I got a burrito and rice and beans. I asked if the burrito came with cheese on it and it came with some light colored crumbles on it that didn't really look like cheese. The beans were not like the normal refried beans because there was whole beans in most of it and of course the rice was dry. I really hope that I just came on an off night and that things will be better next time I do intend to give them another try especially at this price point and knowing that it was really good the first time I ate there. I hope your experience is...
Read moreServer had no clue what was on the menu. We reserved for a party , then when we got there they weren't set up or ready. Gave us a brand new waitress, that had zero training and was scared of her own shadow. We ordered 1st, then after the other 20 in our party were served she came back out after waiting over an hour for our food and asked what I wanted on my burrito Supremes. It comes with 3 different stuffings for the burritos. 1 different for each one. I said I want the same stuffings as it states in the menu. She said , oh so all chicken. I said no, 1 each for each of the burritos. She looked clueless. Then when it came time to pay (which took over 30 minutes just to get a bill) they sent out a veteran server while our server stood off to the side and watched. The new server had no idea who owed what since the 1st waitress never put names with the orders. She simply put a line under each order, but who's was who's, no one knew. When I got mine the plate was extremely hot đ„ yet my food was barely warm in some areas and other parts were cold . So they obviously quickly nuked the meal since by this time we waited almost an hour and a half and still hadn't been served. Sad way to handle things NEVER AGAIN. Poor food, poor service, can't say much for the set up of...
