J Lemon Pepper Fish & Chicken — Restaurant in Jacksonville

This place ain't nothing but the truth! The prices are so reasonable and everything isn't fried well majority of the products. However; they have Philly's both chicken and steak. Sandwichs and the usually everyday meals. The lunch specials are filling and the price for their quick lunch meals are awesome. Can't beat $5 bucks and some change. They even have Chicken and Belgium Waffle. A whole cooked fresh Belgium Waffle nice and fluffy. You can get it with Chicken tenders instead if wanted instead of the chicken wings. I'm use to the real thing "wings and waffles" only way in ATL & SC. The staff is small and friendly when your not a repeated customer that is a nuisance. Fast, quick paced, if your getting meals that are quick and easy. If your going for one of the family meals that are 19.99 with two, three, or four different items. Then that would require you too wait of course. So your food is fresh and hot. I have never been here and has cold or incorrect food orders. Always been accurate, fresh, and cook to order. Food is piping hot and still warm when you get home. They have a 20 pieces of chicken for 19.99. that's cheap compared too Popeye's, Church's, and KFC combined. They charge $28.99 to $30.00 for a 8 piece meal. You can get the 20 pieces of chicken here and pick up sides from Publix or somewhere else. For a meal cheaper around $25.00 all together. I grabbed food from this nasty disgusting restaurant. Let’s start by saying they have no respect for customers and the children working there are very rude. I ordered catfishes and chicken. The fish was either over cooked, under cooked or just not stored safely. The fish was very mushy and yellow looking. So of course we did not eat the food, we threw it away and kept the receipt. So the next day I call and describe the food explain how unhappy I was and requested a refund. The manager Muhammad said I need to bring the food back in order to get a refund. I explained I have my receipt and already threw the food away. He refused to help, did not apologize for almost getting two customers sick over spoiled food and did not offer fresh food. DISGUSTING. I used to love this place but I would always get from a different location. (Downtown) This review is for the location on Cesery. (I don’t even write reviews so that’s how bad the food was.)The food was nasty & you can tell it was cooked & probably even warmed up in old oil. Food didn’t even taste like it was seasoned at all. Tasted old. I ordered the gizzard & wing combo, fried oysters, & hush puppies. The wings were so small. The hush puppies were the best out of everything & even that was below average. I didn’t even eat half of my food before I threw it away. I’m happy Uber eats refunded me. Food was terrible enough for me to write a review on Facebook & plenty of people have said the same thing..
