La Fonda Del Sol — Restaurant in Jacksonville

To be honest....I dont normally by breakfast at a Mexican restaurant especially a Western Omelet...but I was needing some breakfast for my son ....this place is right down the road from me...so Why Not.... Well I will tell you Why Not...go there...and have their $7 fold over meat and onion and tomato so called Western Omelet..... A Western Omelet will consist of 2 or 3 meats and more veggies than 3 .....and the toast was not toasted and the Omelet was boring....so just because something is easy to get to doesn't mean you go for it.... And the service is EXTREMELY slow....and for a meat and cheese Omelet not a recommended place to bring yourself or...

One of my favorite places to eat in Jacksonville! Food is always great! Atmosphere is not!!! Needs to be painted in the inside, ventilation is not great, holes in the chairs, supplies stacked in the restaurant area, bathrooms are dirty and the light is out. Service really lacked this time as well. Went at 9:30 in the morning and it was not crowded. Tables needed to be bussed and cleaned. Had to wait for someone to clean the table. Came to eat with my daughter. They brought my plate and 15 minutes later she still did not have hers. Then her hash browns...

While you might be expecting Mexican food from the name, La Fonda actually has many different food options. My favorite is their breakfast menu, which they serve all day. Try the pancakes or biscuits and gravy you will NOT be disappointed!!! This is just a little mom and pop shop so expect thigs to be fairly laid back. They stay fairly busy and get to you as fast as they can AND they always greet you with a smile. The atmosphere is always friendly and the food is hot and fresh made. I highly...
