One of my kids said it best, "The building seems small, but they have so much stuff inside! That's the best museum we've ever been too! When can we go back?!" The staff was so kind and helpful, and allowed my kids to play and experience pieces of the exhibit, even opening up some of glasses cases so they could get a "closer look". The museum contains such a variety of pieces, from fossils to rocks and pottery, toys, war memorabilia, household items, machinery, medical history, weapons, coins — my kids each found their own section that they were mesmerized by. My new favorite museum on Earth!

I have visited museums from five out of the seven continents, and the Jacksonville museum is my favorite museum.

This humble yet incredible museum host absolutely phenomenal guides, incredible artifacts, and rich history!

The two gentlemen hosting tour are absolutely passionate about their craft of preserving history.

I will do my best to be returning with some ancient artifacts from Sri Lanka, India, and Japan. As well as some natural gems and fossils from our beloved Texas.

I am an enrolled Texas Cherokee Tsalagiyi Nvdagi Tribal Citizen and I wish they had more information and artifacts about our Tribe especially since all of Cherokee and Smith Counties was part of our original Land...
