I took my family here yesterday, new years day 2024, there was 6 adults and a 3 yr old. We were told a 25 min wait and that is reasonable for the time of day and the holiday. At 40 mins we went to check and were told 5 more mins., okay that is a bit much but it was crowded. At 55 min. we asked to speak to a manager and explained why, they suddenly had a table for us and when we said that's great, we still want to speak to a Manager, the young hostess said " so do you want to be seated or stand here and wait on a manager". The level of rude was off the chart, like I said, this is a 25 min. wait that is now at 55 min, while we sat and watched table after table seated, (tables that could easily been put together for 7). We did speak to a manager and she was apologetic, they assigned severs to get drinks and get our order started to get things moving. I'm just still shocked at how rude and condescending the hostess was, and yes I have done her job and yes, I know it is not easy, but to be rude and condescending because you want to speak to a manager is next level. The food was okay, but no where near the level you normally get at a Metro Diner. Our compensation was that we did not get charged for drinks, and at what they cost, that was nice. The other huge complaint that we have and everybody that works there is you need to do something about your air system it’s always stuffy and not comfortable in your restaurant and that really is not fun when you’re going out to eat. Please try and improve.. It’s for the better of ALL! Read moreOrdered dark meat chicken and waffles on uber eats at work today. I love metro diner so I am not trying to bash in any way. Just want to bring this to the staffs attention when making orders hastily. I ate half of the waffles and the 2 legs. They legs were good, seasoned, and still crunchy after delivery. But they were not cooked all the way through on the inside so I ended up throwing them away. I didnt take pics or call to complain because I had no time for that. I took the other half home to eat and after reheating in the air fryer, i took a bite and boom💥 blood. Chicken not fully cooked. Thats 3 pieces not cooked. The 4th piece I gave away so idek if it was fully cooked or not. Please ensure that the food is fully cooked as this is disgusting and a waste of my money. This was ordered from the Southside location and their food did taste different from my regular location on Baymeadows. This time around I was highly disappointed. Please fully cook the chicken.
