Let me start by saying we've been regular customers at this Moe's for 3 years.
The drive thru has had it's fair share of issues, so last time we went it was no surprise to see that they charged us 15$ over.
We contacted them via email and we're told that the next meal was on them, so we decided to let it go.
I loaded our two kids (ages 3 and 2) into our car. Anyone with children knows that this is a 20 minute phenomenon lol
We went through the drive thru for a sign to be up "drive thru experiencing technical difficulties, please come in."
I wasn't elated. I wasn't dressed properly ( we didn't expect to have to get down) my son didn't have shoes on so I had to carry him and his sister inside the store, and no, I didn't have a mask, for medical reasons, and honestly didn't think I'd have to justify coming in since the governor lifted the order.
Walked in and the manager shouts across the room that I needed a mask. I told her really, because the governor just set an order.
Let me be clear, the manager, Anette had the most condescending tone it made me want to stand my ground further. She then walks up to me, PULLS DOWN HER MASK, to tell me that I needed to wear one. Let's be clear, there was No one other than employees as the restaurant well further than 20 ft away from me. I called her out, and then pointed out that her employee didn't have a mask on who was sitting at a table 10 ft away. She said he was eating, but really he was done and just talking on the phone..she then proceeded to raise her voice and lecture me on how dangerous it was for me to be in the store without a mask. When I told her I had a medical condition she said she didn't care and told me to leave
As a mom who just had a baby (whom I left napping with her father at home) my emotions were all over. She yelled at me in front of my children, and employees. Illegally denied me service, and when my husband called the store later to discuss the issue, hung up on him. He then called back again to have her say "my coworker hung up because they didn't want me to lose my temper again."
You're in charge of your temper. You yelled at a mom battling ppd issues and anxiety issues. You angrily dealt with her in front of her kids. And when given the opportunity to apologize over the phone, you hung up the first time.
I'm NEVER, coming back. My family isn't coming back, and my friends will not be returning. The fact that corporate wouldn't address it, that the franchise owner won't address is shows me how far Moe's has come from being a family place.
Stay way from this...
Read moreI don't really know where to begin. I have never written a review in my life until now but here goes, because I feel this needs to be addressed. I went to this location semi frequently as it was the closest Moe's to where I live. I had stopped there on the 22nd of September (factual because the receipt says so) and since I work two jobs and am newly pregnant, it's not my top priority to go and complain about an order they had messed up, but when you're young and pregnant and spend nearly 40 dollars on an order I felt it would be necessary to go back and say something. The struggle is real. When I finally got around to it, I had brought the only receipt they had gave me then which was the customer copy with my card information and date and whatnot. Anyway, I go in tonight with my boyfriend and politely ask to speak with the manager on duty after patiently waiting in line for her to finish the customers orders in front of us. I explained the situation calmly and politely to the young blonde haired manager because I actually used to work at a moes myself and I assumed anyone who knows customer service would listen to the customer and compensate my order instead of her and the other extremely rude employee named Gretchen saying there was nothing they could do and trying to argue with me. I showed her the only copy of receipt I was given and then they proceeded to go into the back and laugh about the situation or whatever. Then this Gretchen girl starts to interject and got a really nasty attitude, and refused to give out the GMs contact info...honestly this Gretchen creature is a disgrace to human kind, and to be honest she was probably no more than 18 so what kind of parent massacured this girl enough to name her THAT. Anyway back to this...as like anyone, it angered me enough to write this which as I mentioned I've never done in my entire life. I will not be returning and unfortunately word of mouth travels fast. I'd like to say more but I don't feel like being angry about an 18 year old named Gretchen anymore. I just hope she and the GM. Also that blonde haired girl kind of sucked too. I want...
