Our meals were served with rotten cilantro. When we brought this up, the manager admitted that the cook knew it was rotten and still chose to serve it. She also mentioned that we were the second or third table to complain about the same issue, yet the food was still being sent out. The result was that everything tasted like Dawn dish soap. The tacos, the cilantro rice, and the Mexican street corn were all covered in the spoiled cilantro. Instead of taking accountability, the manager dismissed our concerns by insisting it was not “real soap” but just rotten cilantro. That explanation only made the situation worse. To “make it right,” she offered us a five-dollar comp on meals that cost more than twenty dollars. We still spent fifty dollars for food that was completely spoiled, which felt insulting given the circumstances. In the end, the only edible part of the order was the fried shrimp, and even that was overshadowed by the experience. This was not just an inconvenience. It was a serious lapse in food quality and customer care.

I really wanted to love this place. I researched it all while driving from two states away. I already knew what I was going to order, the Monterey Jack chicken quesadillas. After a lackluster greeting from a person who came up to the podium, we were seated just before Happy Hour was scheduled to end. Plenty of employees walked past us since we were near the kitchen and the bathrooms but no one came up to us or even said we’ll be right with you, nothing! We couldn’t even catch their eyes! Servers attended to the booths on each side of us and across the room, none of those servers noticed we were waiting without drinks or anything!!! The hostess walked by us twice on her way to and from the bathroom and it never clicked with her that we were waiting and waiting. By 6:16 (20 minutes) we had enough of being invisible and left. Also, the table was sticky.

I needed to fuel up before a 150 mile bike ride the next 2 days to raise money for MS, and Hurricane's fit the bill. I had never been, but it was close to my hotel in Jacksonville, FL and the menu looked interesting. They were busy, but I found an empty seat at the bar, and had great service from the bartender who seemed to be both knowledgeable as well as efficient. I started off "carb loading" and hydrating. Good beer selection, although they were out of a few on the menu that night; luckily ended up having the two I wanted to try, so no issues for me. I ordered the Thai Ginger Chicken Bowl, it was tasty and everything in it seemed to be good quality. No stringy, cartilage filled chicken, and the veggies all seemed to be pretty fresh and crisp. Overall, I'd definitely visit Hurricane's again!

This place needs to get their people together. Went in last night for a bday dinner with friends. The waitress never offered my 2 yr old a highchair. We came in because we saw a Facebook post for $6 appetizers from 8 to close and all you can eat wings. I asked about the appetizers and the waitress said it's only on Thursdays. I showed her the FB post and she just kept saying it's for Thursday. I asked her to ask the mgr about it because it should be honored. She was hesitant and then said she would. We waited around for an answer. She came back as if she never had the conversation with us. So I asked again because we were waiting to see what to order. She started all over with the same conversation. Now I'm getting angry because she's avoiding asking a mgr. She comes back again as if we didn't have the conversation and asks if we are ready. We all order and one of my friends asks another waitress after we got some of our food since we still wanted appetizers. The girl told us that they did have them and showed us to look under Thursday in the menu and our waitress hears us asking and said she didn't know. So that right there shows she never bothered to ask ANYONE as we sat there waiting for an answer. She also didn't even acknowledge the fact she was told in front of us and ask if we wanted any. At this point we were done giving anymore money. Several of us ordered the all you can eat wings, boneless, and they were not the wings typically served. I've been to this location so many times and honestly have an issue every time with service. The wings looked like they were cut up chicken tenders being served as wings. I was at that point done with this place. I ordered another mixed drink at the end of our dinner and never received it. My friend saw one sitting at the bar and walked up to ask since I had been waiting so long. It was mine so she brought it to me. At that point we asked for our checks. It's just mind blowing how this place has gone downhill. I won't be coming back. I gave it several tries and the service is unreal..the last time I was there several months ago I sat outside with a friend as we waited over 20 mins for a server as we watched everyone around us being served that sat down way after us. Whoever owns this Hurricanes needs to get it together. I've been to many of them and they are all going downhill. It's always something. I won't be going to any of them again. I've given them all enough money. I have a lot more to say but don't even feel the need to type it out at this point....

On 3/24/2017 at approximately 9 we were seated at this location to watch the NCAA Gator game at 10 o'clock. We ordered beers and an app. Our waitress was quiet, kind but sparse. Sometimes it was 15-20 minutes before we saw her. My boyfriend, Phil, has a nerve condition that slight effects his movement and vocal cords. During the duration of the time we were there the whole group of people we were with continued to order drinks. At 11:15 the manager (a young woman with dark hair) came over tapped on our table with a beer can that was not his and told us we were "pushing it" with a very rude tone and attitude. We were all very confused as to what she was talking about. She refused to make eye contact or even look at Phil. She continued to scold the whole table for the 6 beers he had ordered in the 2 almost 3 hours we had been sitting there watching the game. We were not rowdy or disruptive in any way. We had simply chosen this location to eat dinner and watch basketball. When the waitress returned to the table Phil ordered another beer and we placed a food order. We watched the waitress walk over to a table where 4 or 5 employees were sitting, talking, and in my opinion not working. She asked permission. At this point we were offended and Phil was INCREDIBLY embarrassed. We approached the manager to ask her why we were being treated so poorly. She explained that where is a certain amount of alcohol the waitress can serve an hour and Phil was "ordering Bud lights every 10 minutes." If he would have been ordering beers every "10 minutes" he would have drank 24 beers in the 3 hours we were there. When we got the check he had drank 7. Seven beers over three hours is 2 and a half beers an hour. Which is not an abnormal amount for how long we were there to watch a basketball. At his point we were offended, livid, and embarrassed. We had invited 2 other couples who had also placed ordered and after this event we had to cancel the food and leave because of the ignorance show from the manager and the waitress. As patrons of a restaurant it is unacceptable to be treated so poorly because a person has a disability. We felt like we were being discriminated against because of his nerve condition. Regardless of this awful situation we paid our bill, tipped our waitress her 20%, and left. We will take our service elsewhere from...

Came up to the bar and Julie was bartending…she was very rude and never even gave me a menu or asked me if i wanted to eat… i asked for a drink in a pint glass and she couldnt even do that… said she didnt have any even tho i clearly saw them sitting there in plain view… and every other person at the bar was drinking out of a pint glass...Horrible customer service and even worse attitude… please do better! She should not be in a customer facing position!!

Update- i came in to get something to eat on Thursday night 2/27 and Julie was bartending AGAIN… management came and retaliated against me for writing a one star review and told me that i couldnt sit at the bar because it would make Julie “ feel uncomfortable “ and told me that i had to sit at a table…so i sat at a table and thought i wouldnt have to deal with her… well julie came over to my table and got in my face yelling at me for giving her a One Star Review… she told me she didnt deserve that and started loudly asking people at the bar if she was a bad person….she was acting like a crazy psycho and i had to ask the manager to please keep her away from me! The whole reason i sat at a table was so that I wouldnt have to deal with Julie and her poor service and bad attitude … AND then she came over to my table and demanded to know WHY she got a bad review… so i had to deal with her anyways unfortunately…. Very unprofessional and rude…. YET AGAIN!! This girl should not have any contact with customers!!! She made a scene in the bar area yelling at me and demanding to know why she got a 1-star review… very unprofessional and embarrassing…then she started telling everyone at the bar that i gave her a One Star Review and telling customers to go on Google and leave her a good review….. very pathetic! YET her behavior is apparently condoned by management! Management is too good of friends with all the employees to be objective and do what is right by the customers!. I was retaliated against and my rights...
