Selvino's Pizza — Restaurant in Jacksonville

This place is the worst! I placed an order online at 12:50 and was advised that I would recieve my offer in an hour. At 2:07 I had not got my food so I called to check the status. I was asked my address they told me it would be a few more minutes. At 2:25, I was still without my food. I had ordered and paid online. I called again and advised that I had waited long enough and that I no longer wanted the order. I was told that they could not refund my charge. When I gave protest, they hung up the phone. I called back and asked for a supervisor and was told there is no supervisor there, so I asked for a owner or someone in charge. I was hung up on again. They literally refused to give me back my money for the food I had yet to receive. After multiple calls with them hanging up on me, I finally called the site manager of the page they use, which is slice. I was advised that they were told by the pizza place, by the manager (that i was told was not there) that they had already already delivered my food. I was then told that they (slice) could not refund me my money without authorization of the pizza place, and they had to call them again. They told me they would call me back. It all sounded shady to me so I called my card and told them not to process the payment. Glad I did because the place not only charged my order, which already included delivery fee and my 18% tip that I added on top of the cost, but they added an additional $3 to the amount. Instead of the $16.57 I agreed to, I was being told they changed it to over $19. I did not agree to that at all! I literally was hanging up the phone with my card company when I received a knock at my door. It was 2: 50, a whole 2 hours after I placed my order when the delivery guy shows up at my door. I declined the food and advised that I cancelled my order due to time it took to receive. He began trying to give me excuses, I stopped him and advised that it does not justify the treatment I recieved from them and that I no longer want the cold food they are now offering me. I had already cancelled the payment through my card and was not going to be a thief and accept his food for something I was not going to pay for, so he left with the food in hand. This place does not handle their business well and needs to either get folks in place who better manage their time, or give it up all together! Do not order food from them if you really want to eat it because you will not get it when you expect, or are even told you will!... And they will try to keep your money!... And I'm still waiting to hear back from slice. I spoke to the front desk of my hotel, and they advised they have been trying to stop them from sliding their info under the door because of the reports of bad business! Don't waste your time or money! Not worth the star I had to give to leave...

Ordered 2 Shrimp Scampi pastas 8/24/16 for delivery. They told me it would be about 45 minutes. An hour later the food arrived. I took one bite of the Scampi. It was watery and the sauce tasted like pure lemon juice. The pasta had no flavor it, was just hard with a few pieces of unseasoned shrimp and watery sauce. I called back and offered to bring the food back and that I wanted to order something else because the food was literally inedible. George the person I spoke to on the phone said let him talk to the chef, then said he can't just order more food because how would he account for the money that is missing and that I would need to speak to a manager but that all managers were out on delivery. He told me to call back on Friday because they were almost closed. I asked why I had to call back on Friday and he told me because the managers won't be in tomorrow. Matt, the morning manager comes in at 9:45 am to open the place and up leaves for the rest of the day. I tried to explain that I didn't want a refund I just wanted something I could eat, to which he responded I'm sorry mam, I just work here. I've called back several times since then. Some drunk sounding girl answered the phone and said there was a manager present but that she couldn't speak at the time. I called back after 5:30 pm when she said Mike the manager would be there and he wasn't there. All in all this place is garbage dump posing as a resturant. Don't waste your time. I will be reporting...

I love Selvinos!! I do not understand the bad reviews. I rely on my local pizza shop to provide good thin crust NY style pizzas, good calzone and good Stromboli’s! And that’s all I order. I can’t speak for the pasta, spaghetti and meat balls or ravioli, etc... I’m strictly a pizza and folded over type pizza guy. And they nail that! I absolutely love the thin pizzas, huge calzones and Stromboli’s. My go to from Selvino’s is the large pep and onion and most importantly the extra large Stromboli which comes with pep, sausage, ricotta and motz. I don’t care for sausage so I ask for double pep, onions and motz/ricotta. It’s dope!! And HUGE!! $20 heaven! And they give you like 3-5 sauce cups and that’s some good marinara, just ask for an extra and you’ll probably get 5 total! Can Not say enough about the pizza/Stromboli part of what the make. **and I live near by so sometimes I’ll call well after hours and they’ll still deliver and hook me up and fast!! For real!! Pizza pizza pizza has been open in this neighborhood for many months now and I can’t get those jokers to answer the phone after 7:30pm, after they flyered my house with BOGO free pizza adds.
