Our server Heather was fantastic. She is a skilled and knowledgeable restaurant employee. I would not be surprised at all to learn that she has run other restaurants in the past.

Overall experience with the food was just okay. The burnt ends were not really burnt ends. I got them covered in the molasses sauce as offered. I thought the portion was small and they were very dried out. You cannot convince me that it was made within the last 48 hours. I was not going to speak up about it but Heather noticed that I did not like them and asked what was going on. I explained the situation and she offered to replace them with ribs or anything I wanted. I asked for pulled pork and received a whole brand new plate and sides. The pulled pork was very greasy but overall much better than the burnt ends. I was part of a group of four adults and everyone else enjoyed their food.

After dinner we ordered dessert rolls. That's when the second fiasco started. 10 minutes go by and Heather tells us there was some problem with the fryer. 10-15 more minutes go by and we learn the peanut oil is not up to temp yet. Questions were brought up about any nut allergies in the party. Heather said give us 10 more minutes and we can have fresh dessert out to you. Heather was true to her word and brought us dessert on time. It was very good.

I believe we were treated fairly and had things comped on our bill to apologize for the overall service experience.

Overall impressions: maybe it was an off day which we all have. Maybe the restaurant is struggling which we all are. Maybe it's Maybelline. I don't know. My friends will go...
