Not Impressed. After reading the other reviews I was excited to give this place a shot. I checked out their menu online and decided to give them a call to place a to go order. I called at 12:45 as I was walking out of my office, The Lady that answered the phone placed me on hold immediately and proceeded to take another guys walk-in order. He ordered 2 salads and some drinks. By the time he finished I was pulling up in the parking lot at 12:48. I hung up and took another call that lasted for about 5 minutes. I finally made it inside at 12:53 and was able to order rather quickly. I ordered a Sandwich with a pasta salad and greek salad with grilled chicken and 2 drinks. After 25 minutes of waiting patiently I got up from my chair to check on the status of my order. At the very same time the man that ordered the salads while I was on hold also went to check on his order. Mind you he ordered WAAAY before me. After a few more minutes of waiting at the counter and watching the front of the house staff argue with the kitchen staff through the window, I finally received my order at 1:23. The other guy wasn't so lucky. This was a pretty disappointing experience. The food was good but the rest of my...

This is the second time this week I have visited this location Phillips Hywy. I have ordered the same thing both times. A simple Sausage egg cheese sandwich on wheat. It is taken better than 20 minutes each visit to get a sandwich, With the excuse that their several orders ahead of me there were 3 customers in the restaurant one set of customers already eating. I go to pay for my sandwich ask if there's a discount for veterans and get told active duty personnel in uniform only like somebody from Mayport or NAS Jax is going to pop over there for breakfast or lunch all the way over on philips highway. It would have been better to say we don't offer discounts at all than to offer a discount that's a farce. They appear to be under staffed if it takes 20-25 minutes to get a breakfast sandwich to go. The first sandwich was good and prepared right the second not so good and I asked for mayo and salt and pepper when ordering ,and got packets after sandwich was prepared and had to disassemble my sandwich to put it on myself. When rung up the sausage egg and cheese breakfast sandwich was almost $ 7.00 so to say overpriced is not a...

You will see many reviews about the great food and awesome service you will receive at the Village Bread locations. I am writing now to speak about the incredible catering options that are still accompanied by service you’d expect.

My office has utilized Village Bread for THREE professional events where we desired to make an impression. Kelly Harris and his team delivered on each of these occasions and exceeded our expectations. I will point out two things that might not seem obvious. First, the food options were beyond our anticipation and we ended up with both beef and chicken options that were true hits. Second, if you do not select the bread pudding with the vanilla sauce you are doing you and your guests wrong.

We will use Village Bread Café again in the very near future, as I will personally use their brick and mortar for our various...

Not bad. Not great. Nice ambiance. Very clean. Not crowded on Saturday @ 9am. Masks worn by most staff if concerned. Music was the best part of the experience here. All older classic hit music. As far as the food goes... Got the biscuits and gravy. Tasted okay. Kinda average like a prepackaged taste rather than fresh. Country sausage was just a standard round, over-sized sausage patty. Lots of bland tastes. Nothing to get overly crazy about. Scrambled eggs cooked thoroughly and flat rather than fluffy. Hash browns done nicely.. seems like they flattened everything to make it look like more on your plate. Toast was over-sized, very nice. No sour-dough option. Just a squeeze high on pricing for what you get. $24 with tip for everything mentioned including a bottle of orange juice and really old decaf coffee. Overall, a very average experience.

This place has tons of breakfast items from 🥞 pancakes to 🍞 french toast. It was quite busy around 9am-10am and so I wasn't surprised by the wait. But after 30 minutes it seemed a bit long for what we received. I wanted to like the food, the people were friendly but everything else just was below average. The French toast had no flavor (it looked pretty, though the strawberries were sour), the eggs were plain (which I guess is normal, ha), the hash browns really weren't any different from other restaurants like Denny's, and the sausages reminded me of high school. The pancakes were good but if I'm honest I liked the ihop pancakes from a couple weeks ago-a little more. I want to see places like these shine but I was just disappointed with the flavor.

Went once again with my mini and me we got our food to go just in case it rained...luckily we did although its a cute and big cafe.it did pour. Anyway we got biscuits and gravy.club sandwhich. And a tuna sandwhich with fruit and chips on the side. They were super fast and good priced. The biscuits are homemade and nice and soft and buttery. The gravy had good amount a lot of sausage a lil salty but yummy. The tuna was very good refreshing and the bread and lettuce and tomatoes all great quality the club could've used more mayo and more meat but otherwise all yummy we will be back for sure. Also the location a little hard to find because of the sign being low
