Wawa — Restaurant in Jacksonville

My boyfriend and I used to go here almost every night. We loved their wraps and frozen coffee drinks but lately...eh. I could understand having little to no stock on shelves every once in a while, but it seems like they have almost no sandwiches or wraps ready at any time of day in the cooler. To top it off, half the time we go in the machines you have to order on are either turned off or FILTHY. Which brings me to my next point- this has turned into one of the nastiest, dirtiest gas stations near phillips/butler blvd. The machines are covered in handprints, the floors are filthy, the whole place is so disorganized. As if that werent bad enough, the employees here are the snobbiest, snarkiest, rudest people I have ever had to deal with. rude girls at the food counter where food is picked up barely even acknowledge you and they act as if they cant be bothered to answer questions or serve you. The only employee my boyfriend and I love seeing is Drayven, who is always super nice. Yesterday afternoon, after wrapping up a long shift and an appointment, I figured I’d treat myself to something simple—a quick Icee. I don’t usually venture to this side of town, but I thought, how hard can it be to find a cup? Apparently, very.

Unable to locate one, I asked an employee named Teresa if they had any. Instead of a helpful response, I was met with a tone so condescending I almost checked to see if I was back in high school. She pointed (ever so helpfully) to the many signs stating that cups are at the register—as if I had intentionally missed them just to make her day harder. After all, I'm looking for a cup where cups are typically kept, not a sign to redirect me where I'd least expect them to be.

So, if you’re in the mood for an Icee and enjoy being talked down to for asking a basic question, this might be your spot. Otherwise, there are plenty of other places within a 2-3 mile radius where the service doesn’t come with a side...

I am sooooo sick to my stomach with this Wawa. I don't understand why I continuously set myself up to come here EVER! It doesn't matter what time of day I come here the Beverage station is NEVER open. This Wawa is my neighborhood Wawa but I'd rather and may as well drive to Gate Pkwy or Southside because at least then I'll know I can get what I came for. Like why do you have a "NOW HIRING" sign up for at least a couple of months that I know of when you aren't hiring anybody to ensure you're running a COMPLETE establishment? I just need to remind myself to STOP coming to this Wawa. Just go out of your way, leave a little earlier and go to a different Wawa because this ONE out of the multiple locations that I've frequented from MANY cities in Florida is NEVER FULLY OPERABLE. If I were a McDonald's customer I'd compare this to being like McDonald's when their Milkshake machine isn't working. Get it...
