Shrimp N Stuff Food Truck — Restaurant in Jamaica Beach

My husband went up to the food truck to order so this is his take on the service. "The guy in there working it should not be working in public. He was aggravated that I was there ordering food from him. He made no eye contact and I felt like I was a bother when I asked how many shrimp came in the basket. I guess he hates his job." After we waited in truck a couple minutes my husband went back up to find a totally different attitude from the kid working. Husband said he was friendly and told him also to have a good day. So I dont know if he was just not feeling it at first and then fine once completed cooking..but the first impression was not the best but he made up for it in the end.

As far as other information- Food was excellent fresh and hot. Fried shrimp basket was more than filling and it is served as the big shrimp with fries and coleslaw. Coleslaw was not best and may have been going bad as we threw it away from a slight stench and was hot. They only accept CASH. We had to run to atm next door at gas station before ordering food. No big deal just letting potential future customers know this is a CASH ONLY FOOD TRUCK. Their shrimp tacos are delicious. I usually order that along with fries and a side of coleslaw. The fries are ok, but the coleslaw is pretty good. If you like Hush Puppies, you'll enjoy theirs. It's standard, no variations away from what you'd expect from a Hush Puppies. The fried shrimp is decent, not much to talk about. Overall, the food is ok. A bit too greasy for my liking.

The price for the tacos is now $6 instead $5. It's listed incorrectly on the menu. And, you get one taco for that price.

The service is fast. You don't have to worry about waiting long for your food. The food truck is located near a convenience store, so you'll have no problem getting something to drink along with your order. It's also located across the street from a public...

A taco is priced at $6 with cabbage and toppings. It had a yummy sauce. 3 out of 6. Good, but I have definitely had better. The box with fried shrimps and fries was yummy. I topped it with the sauce and relish to get a good bite.

They butterfly the shrimp and fry it with this batter on it. Not too thin or thick. The batter itself doesn't have much flavor, but the oil tastes as though it has been through quite some rounds. It seasons it a bit. The relish was also not too sweet or acidic. It made for a yummy combo in a bite. I like the concept, but presentation and seasoning need some work.
