Eddy Calderon prosecutor Jamaica beach is Highly un professional! I attended Jamaica beach court with all supportive documents. He refused to even acknowledge my documents with time and date. Rudely cut me off several times as I attempted to explain. Set my ticket for trial without any investigation to the ticket. I explained to him he will just be going off hear say. Which defined by the state of Texas rule 801 (2) a party offers in evidence to prove the truth of the matter asserted in the statement. He proceeded to become very ignorant with an elevated tone. Eddy Calderon tried to dis credit me saying I have zero understanding of the law. Claimed he doesn’t show up to my job telling me what the rules and codes are. Im in the court for the rules of the city in which I have understanding and there is a clear lack of organization in the city. I have a legal permit in which Caytie farmer attempted to revoke after the work had began. Lo and behold if you are slightly educated. He will look for a way to make you feel incompetent to the subject. He has lack of understanding with communication and public relations. As I read his personal reviews I see I am not the first to challenge Mr Calderon . if he continues this behavior I will not be the last bad review. A complete disgrace to the state bar of Texas and the...
Read moreWhile on vacation, we had our first experience with a traffic accident on Friday, July 29th at around 8:30pm, in front of a red traffic light at Jamaica Beach, when a "not spending attention" driver drove with around 35 miles/hr onto the rear of our pick up truck (with trailer hitch). Our two daughters in the back row of the cabin (16 & 14) got bumped heard with their head and shoulders in going forward and back in the seat belts, but are basically are unhurt. It took only seconds and we had a first police officer right behind the scence, while he saw the whole thing happening from the side of the road where he was in his car standing. Gladly to say, the outcome was at least with no one physically badly hurt. Even the accident perpetrator was so far I could follow up, unharmed (surprisingly, since his car is badly damaged). Our youngest daughter was so terrible scared. Both were sore the next day, but nothing a regular pain reliever couldn't solve. Anyhow, the volunteer fire department of Jamaica beach was there in minutes, more police to secure and manage the street, and an ambulance as well. The fire fighters took so amazingly care especially of our daughters, I can't say it thankful enough!!! The help the whole team provided was outstanding ! Thank you to all of these wonderful people!!! We are...
Read moreThis is a terrible place due to the unprofessional police. I specifically stopped and asked an officer the regulations on fires to avoid any problems and got the solid base and lid he requested so I could cook dinner. Later that evening a female officer showed up, was very rude, and threatened to arrest me for the fire because the container was on the sand. Ultimately, after many threats she made me leave the beach. She continued to escalate the situation the whole time while I was trying to remedy the issue. I even tried to go to the department to file a complaint but their office was closed. I would recommend that nobody come to this area in the future unless you want to be threatened by their officers. Its obvious they don't want tourists. Spend your money...
