Tried doing a carryout order. When I approached the cashier she asked if I were ready to order, then immediately left and walked to the bar to start picking dishes up. No time for me to even say a word. After a couple minutes of running in the kitchen with dirty plates and continuing cleaning, she finally comes back to take my order. In the middle of my order she once again just walks away and starts filling a cup up with soda(for another customer!). Back once again to my order! We manage to finish the order, I pay and was told it would be about 10 minutes. I wait in my car for 15 and come back in. The cashier is still at the register so I ask if my food is ready. She walks away and refills a womans drink at the bar and begins talking to the woman. I'm standing there shocked to all hell. Mind you, there were 2 tables occupied at the current time and one woman at the bar. It was definitely not a busy time of day. I stand at the register waiting patiently for another 10 minutes, getting once again ignored as she sits guests that have just walked in. She serves all of the newcomers' drinks and heads to the kitchen. I wait another 5 minutes until she comes out with my food. When we finally got home to eat the food (no more than 5 minutes depending on traffic) everything was lukewarm with the cheese inside the burritos hardened. Quick flash in the microwave easily solved that issue. Opening a to-go cup of the provided sour cream smelled like lake water. I hoped it was just the brand they used that had such a unique smell and used it with my dinner. Two hours later I'm throwing up.. This place is definitely not like how it was in my childhood. The food was very bland BESIDES the Spanish rice. Not worth the...

While waiting for our food a table of 5 sits down next to us and within 15 mins they all have their food, while us a table of 2 have been sitting here for an hour and still have no food. We were brought our food 10 mins after they got theirs and we only got burritos.... the lady drops our food off, I say thank you and she whips around and checks on the other table, not looking at us or saying your welcome nor asking if we needed anything. I am a server and I would NEVER treat a table this way. She's giggly and friendly to the table next to us. But when I ask for a box, again another nasty look and just says sure and walks away. At the same time the other table asked for a box so she went and got them and almost forgot to give me mine. She runs right over to the other table then very quickly dropped my box off and then went right back over to the other table to make sure they are still doing okay, when she never asked us once how things were. I am a very generous tipper and a very polite person... let's just say her tip... she got what she deserved. Oh and the food, ehh its decent. But We are...

THE FOOD WAS TERRIBLE!!!!!!
Consumer beware. We went to the Taco Hut after many locals in the area told us it is the place to go for Mexican food in the area. We were so excited to see what all the buzz was about.
Here is what we experienced: charged for chips and salsa- the salsa tasted canned guacamole - processed, not fresh, no flavor margarita - worst margarita ever - we ordered a pitcher - Maybe the bar tender forgot to add the tequila as it tasted like we were drinking a sweet and sour mix on the rocks rice - not your typical Spanish rice it tasted okay but IMHO should have been noted Spanish Rice (comes w/ burrito) tasted old Fajita Burrito - the beef was dry and something in the burrito smelled freezer burned I also tasted something rancid as if either the meat or veggies were rotting - menu described as having jack cheese- after closer inspection it was processed yellow cheese (not even melted) Flautas - small, flavorless
Overall food experience was extremely poor. My husband got sick on the way home. We had to stop at a store so he could vomit. We don't know if it was due to the overly sweet non-alcoholic margaritas or from something in the food.
The staff was friendly...
