My family and me went to get some food and our cashier was really rude and terrible to my mother. I work in fast food myself and I know it can be stressful.I've even worked for this company for 5 years before going to my new job. But the way she spoke to my mother and me was unacceptable. First off she was smart mouth with my mother cause she forgot to hit the Credit card button for our card to work and then yelled at us and told us we had to do it again cause she didn't hit it. We had a big order cause our family is big. We ordered 2 drinks and one cup of ice. We only received two cups and when I went to ask about our other cup she handed me a cup of ice. She didn't let us get our own ice which is fine but she treated us like theives. I went to my mother and told her to go ahead and use the cup she had and I would just use my cup in my hands for my drink, "they were the same size so I figured it wouldn't matter". They stared us down and then yelled at us across the restaurant that we had to pay for that drink we stole. We didn't steal anything, we had to show them that my mother's cup was still just ice and we did not receive an apologize. We had all the people who were sitting down eating staring at us like we did wrong when all that cashier did was jump to conclusions. At that time I was mad and wanted to cancel my order but didn't cause we are better than that and didn't want to go threw the trouble, plus our children was hungry. None of the other employees even spoke up for us and two of them were laughing at us. We had to go threw Embarrassment for nothing with out even the manager apologizing. We couldn't even get the name of the cashier cause she wasn't wearing a name tag. None of the employees were wearing name tags, couldn't even find the manager cause they all had crew shirts on. The place was extremely nasty. They had trash on the ground, trash over flowing from where you get napkins, they even had the towel that belongs in the sanitizer bucket laying around. Over all I was extremely horrified of the service and the nastiness of the place. I work in fast food myself and i can understand if the restaurant was short handed and busy but they had all the people they needed to run a shift and they were really slow. I worked for Kathy's for 5 years and wish i still had her number in my phone so I could have let her know how offended we were and how horrible our service was. We shouldn't have been accused of stealing a drink or being watched the way we were. Why would we spend over 60 dollars just to turn around and steal a drink. I know nothing will probably be done about this but I would like an apologize, not just to me but my mother too. We are not thieves. Read moreThis location is one that we visit regularly. The food is usually good and hot. I love their steak biscuit for breakfast. My son likes the Big breakfast sandwich with sausage. They have many items that are delicious. Among our favorites are Chicken fingers, Cole slaw, Big Jack, Fries, biscuit & gravy, grits, hash rounds and chicken biscuit. The food is almost always on point. The service is most always lacking!! There is one lady in particular that has been working at this location for a few years at least and she is usually rude and very unfriendly. She doesn't listen to you when you order which results in your order being wrong 8 times out of 10. She works the morning shift so I have found that when we go by for breakfast it is more convenient to go inside and order and ALWAYS double-check your order before you leave the building! I was hoping that since it was fully demolished, rebuilt from the ground up, and had “Now Hiring” on the sign all of the months that it was closed for re-build that the service would improve as well. I have been to this location several times since it has reopened, and the service is as bad as before it closed. The last time I went a couple of weeks ago will be my last until I decide to trust them again. The manager incorrectly rang-up my order, and argued with me that I brought it up, and made her correct it. She seemed irritated, and brushed it off saying “it doesn’t matter, it is only a few cents,” when it was actually $2 off from the correct price. Either way, even if it was a few cents off, I work hard for every penny that I pay, and I deserve to be served correctly, and given what I am owed.
