Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Jasper

I love Sonic Drive In. It is my favorite place to go for breakfast anytime of the day. My favorite thing to order is the breakfast burrito with jalapenos, hash browns, onions, eggs and cheese. They are so big I usually eat half of it at a time. Just the burrito is under $4.00 a very good price. From 2:00 --4:00 is Happy Hours. You get drinks , any size for half price. All the foods they serve are good. The best onion rings I have ever had. It is a great place for a quick stop. Service is fast whether you pull in and order or go to the drive thru. The restroom is located on the side against the building, where you pull up to order. It is in front of the 2nd or 3rd parking space from the back. Very clean and convenient for everyone to use. The employees are wonderful, always a smile, clean and neat. Very nice and helpful to make sure you have what you ordered Have enough napkins and straws, condiment's ( sauce's, ketchup, mustard, salt, pepper etc. The Sonic in Jasper, Alabama is the one I go to most. It is located on the left side of the of the 78 HWY to the left of Urgent Care, across from the Winn Dixie. There is a turn lane, so it is convenient to cross from the right lane going East. You can get the app to order ahead and get some special offers. Just give Sonic Drive In a try. I'm sure you will find something you'll go back for. I always give my servers a tip for the quality of the work...

Pulled into a stall. Pressed the red button. Nothing.

After 8 minutes of the screen saying "The red button has been pressed. We will be right with you.", I backed up and pulled up to the drive thru. Again, nothing.

Drove down the highway and back. Took about 12 minutes. Pulled into Sonic again and up to the drive thru. This time I got a response. Placed my order, the young lady at the window was very friendly and apologetic about not having this or that, saying they got slammed and hadn't been able to get to the back to restock some items. Stuff like certain cup sizes and the round top lids. Ordered meals, drinks, and desserts of various types for 4 people. The food was anywhere from hot to warm enough. Everything seemed fresh, not like it had been laying around. Ordered 2 Sonic BLASTS and the bottom 1/2 of each of them (size medium) where pure ice cream and the top 1/2 seemed light on the candy bar part. They were cold and not melted, but the pieces where not mixed thoroughly at all.

I'll probably do it again, but only because I enjoy punishing myself and I really like the BLASTS and cheeseburgers. Oh, and because Dairy Queen here is far, far worse.

P.S. - My son had me order a Watermelon Dr. Pepper (crazy, I know) and what we got was NOT Watermelon Dr. Pepper. I don't know what it was, but it wasn't watermelon...

Employees were awful to me and my friends. We were as respectful as possible to the team member taking our order, who retorted that they were slammed with orders at the moment, obviously angry with the fact we had multiple orders in our car. This team member came outside to inform us Yet Again! That they were slammed and asked us if we wanted to leave. We said yes and told them to cancel our order. As we were leaving, a manager named Amber made sure to come out and give us a peice of her mind about us cancelling our 3 milkshakes and yelling at our friend who is an OFF the clock employee. She blames him and tells him he shouldn't order if he was going to leave. I politely inform her that he did not order anything and that the orders were mine, she ignored me and continued to yell at our friend. I reminded her that they were my orders and told her that HER team member is the one who asked us to leave. She said a sarcastic "whatever" and turned around and left us. We took our services...
